Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center (CHRHC) and Vermilion County Health Department (VCHD) have announced more Covid-19 vaccine options in the county. HRCH, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and VCHD, is offering same day and limited walk-in appointments at Village Mall in Dan-ville. Clinics will be held until all available doses are administered. The vaccine is for those who live or work in Vermilion County who are currently eligible to receive vaccine. “Walk-in appointments are available, but you may be assigned a time slot later in the day based on capacity. Those people would be asked to return 5 minutes before their time slot to accommodate social distancing,” Kim-berly Franklin, MSN, patient care manager, said. Walk-in appointments are available Tuesday, March 23 – Sunday, March 27 from 8 – 11:30 a.m. and 1 – 4 p.m. Vermilion County vaccine clinics are held at Village Mall, 2917 N Vermilion (inside the former Hallmark storefront). If you answer “Yes” to having a vaccine in the last 14 days, you must wait 14 days after your last vaccine to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. 7. If you are currently in isolation due to a current infec-tion with COVID-19, you cannot receive the vaccine at this time. 8. If you have a fever or are currently ill, you cannot re-ceive the vaccine. 9. If you recently received your first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, you cannot get your second dose until 28 days after your first dose. 10. If you received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for your first dose, the only vaccine we are administering at this point is Moderna and you will not be able to get your second dose here. 11. If you have had COVID19 in the last 90 days, vac-cination can be offered, but could also be delayed 90 days if desired.
