• Think about questions to ask and prepare answers.

• Review your resume and be prepared to discuss your

education and experience with exhibitors.

• First impressions are made within seconds – be sure to dress the part.

Resume quick tips

• Catch the employer’s eye with solid highlights of the qualifications

or a profile section that summarizes what you bring to the position at hand.

• Use technical lingo associated with the field.

• Use action words with your bullets to highlight your

skills relevant to the position.

• List your qualifications and experience in order of importance

related to the position you are applying for.

• Create a visually impactful resume with good use of fonts. Avoid underlining.

• Keep your resume short. One or two page resumes are recommended.

Most employers do not want to read anymore than that.

• Have your resume proofread for spelling, clarity and completeness.

Spelling mistakes demonstrate a lack of attention to detail.

A good resume gives a true projection of the applicant tothe employer.
