T he biggest problems of the usage of the wind energy arethe big storms, the high investment costs and extra costs

of the infrastructure need, and the lack of suff icient storagecapacity.

 According to our point of view, this is the right time for redefining the two

thousand years old development of the energy production system: and we

can proudly say: the time has arrived for such wind turbine towers, than our 

latest development is. In the 21st century there is already exist the right

tool which we can cut emission and stop climate change. We can cut the

costs of the wind's energy production, too and we can move a brand new

territory: the field of the big storms. The solution is the new generation of 

wind turbines developed in Hungary, which can solve all kind of deployment

and functioning problems of the present wind parks. The advantage of this

new generation wind turbine comes from its orignal construction.

We can prove this via some examples:

There is no need to turn VATT off in case of big storms when thewind is stronger than 90 km/h. It can efficiently work at any kind

of wind one can find on Earth, coming from any direction. In caseof bladed turbines towers if wind direction is not the optimal thetowers need to be turned against the wind.

The power production is continuous increasing, since the VATTuses the wind power what cube of the wind speed, efficiently.

The cut-in windspeed is only 0,4 m/s, which is only 1/10 of deployment requirement of the present existing towers’.

The cost of the power production is almost the half with this VATT,than the bladed turbine towers’. The capacity of the bladed

turbines kind towers is limited. (That is why the capacity of the windtowers cannot be economically  further developed.) With this newinvention one can easily build 5-20 MW standalone power stations.

This VATT power station can function three times longer than of those bladed turbines towers because of its unique construction.

In this construction there are no moving parts, which means nodangerous situation can occur, neither during the installation nor during the operation period.

This VATT is going to be running day and night for 40 or moreyears.

The new VATT is capable to store energy locally and off gridoperation is also available. The energy storage in case of the

bladed turbine towers is not solved; That is why they can operatevia grid-tie inverter which feed energy into the electricity grid.

The top unit of the VATT is practically working without maintenance.Because the shaft is vertical, the transmission and generator 

can be mounted at ground level allowing easier servicing and alighter weight, lower cost tower. No large area and service roadsare needed. The O&M costs are much lower than the conventionalhorizontal axis turbines‘.

There is no need for a significant distance between two units, andinstalling VATT in groups are strengthening the power production.

The VATT fortunately is extremely quiet. The sound level is < 1db, even at high wind speed. The wind towers create noise, and

disturb the flying road of the birds.

The main parts of VATT are:

• The top unit(chassis and spinning element)

• The new type of wind generator 

• The newly developedenergy storage system

• The control electronics

We have already working models in different sizes, and we are readyto start the production of industrial sized VATT, soon.

If we want to summarize this topic, we can proudly say that VATTis compared to the conventional bladed turbine towers

VATT handles big storms

cocerning the production cost VATT is 40 % cheaper;

available capacity efficiency is close 2 times more with VATT at

the same investment cost;

the maintenance costs of VATT are much lower;

there is no environmental and natural pollution in case of VATT;

installation is faster of VATT;

a new type of storage system is available for off-grid operation;

finally, the energy production cost is much cheaper with this new

generation VATT than with the present, conventional systems!
