Invitation to the Grant Thornton VAT and Aviation Workshop London 26 April 2016 Graham Brearley Senior Manager Experience Graham has many years of experience of advising on the VAT implications of aircraft ownership and operation. This includes advice on the acquisition and importation of business aircraft into the EU, ownership structures, and the correct VAT treatment of associated ‘FBO’ and ‘MRO’ services. As a qualified pilot, Graham has a keen interest in and deep understanding of the business aviation market and is able to provide informed advice to owners and operators alike. VAT Ian Worth Associate Director Experience Ian heads our Customs Team in the UK, and has over 35 years’ experience in customs roles. He has advised aircraft operators and parts suppliers on customs compliance around temporary admission, aircraft end-use relief and certificates of airworthiness, as well as other related duty regimes, including customs warehousing and inward processing. He has also worked with contractors to military bodies and is in regular contact with HMRC regarding the new requirements of the Union Customs Code.
