Thirty years ago TED started as an international gathering for innovators and
leaders in the fields of Technology, Entertainment and Design. TEDx was
created in 2009 to empower independent organizers who want to create a
TED event in their own community.
I launched Brooklyn’s inaugural TED Talks in 2010 with TEDxBrooklyn to create a
nexus for New Yorkers who believe in the power of “ideas worth spreading.”
The day-long conference has brought together regional luminaries to celebrate
their ideas and inspire the world.
