When I first set up my Vallebona stall in Borough Market in 1998, it was the continuation of a long family obsession with great food that started with my great grandfather Agostino who dealt in fine olive oils, wines, cheeses and bottarga from the little island of San Pietro off the south west coast of Sardinia in 1890. His son Egidio expanded the operation in the 1920s with his fleet of boats, trading with clients in Spain, Corsica and North Africa. Today we are still bringing the same gourmet products directly to you from our warehouse and shop in Wimbledon.

Vallebona is now a leading supplier of premium quality Italian and Sardinian artisanal products in the UK. We take pride in delivering to you our range of cheeses, charcuterie and pantry items sourced only from the most authentic producers and artisans who themselves take a pride in the traditions and production methods, ensuring the superb quality that we guarantee. It so happens that many of the best producers today are the descendants of the gentlemen Agostino and Egidio worked with over 100 years ago, the passion having been passed down from father to son; we are very proud to retain our connections with them and to continue to share their passion.

It is our mission not only to supply you with the best produce, but to provide you with the best customer service. Supplying, as we do, the top restaurants, caterers and speciality food outlets in the UK, we understand that your expectations are high, as are those of your own discerning customers.

To this end, I insist that our staff are highly trained and knowledgeable food enthusiasts themselves, able to offer detailed information and advice about our extensive range. They ensure that your orders are processed courteously and efficiently and that should any problems arise, they are dealt with promptly and effectively. We regularly send out free samples of products to our customers, encouraging you to try new things and experiment with unusual combinations. We are also SALSA certified guaranteeing our products safety and reliability.

We pride ourselves on our rewarding relationships with our clients, and I would welcome you to visit us at our premises in south west London. We are always at the annual Speciality and Fine Food Fair at Olympia in September, where we would love to see you. SERVICES AND INFORMATION

PACKING Once sliced, the meats are carefully placed on top quality coated paper from Italy, and each layer covered in a special film for ease of separation. This is then all carefully wrapped ready for despatched and chilled if necessary.

CERTIFICATIONS Vallebona prides itself in having not only the necessary food regulation certifications but also going the extra mile with our SALSA certification, guaranteeing the safety and quality of all our products.

VACUUM PACKING & STORAGE Our top quality, commercial grade vacuum and gas packing machines guard against degradation in quality and form and preserve the flavour, aroma and colour of perishable products. All Vallebona products are handled and stored to the highest food standards and regulations and all our products purchased in small batches which are delivered from Italy in refrigerated lorries on a weekly basis.

SLICING Our slicing service is second to none. Our staff have all been expertly trained on our state of the art German slicing machines, enabling us to offer a fast, efficient service, fine tuning slicing thicknesses to best suit the cuts and your preferences. We are happy to take large catering orders for precise slice counts or weights, or for just a few fine slices of your favourite meats.

PANETTONE ARTIGIANALE Vallebona’s Famous Panettone Our Panettone is made by a family in Turin who’ve been potty about Panettone since 1936. The secret family recipe has been passed down the generations. Made by hand with the richest Belgian butter, the finest Italian flour and natural yeast, this Panettone is left to prove for three days. Unlike many which sit on shelves for years ours are baked to order and delivered immediately, no waiting or sitting around. They are then wrapped by us with handmade welsh wool pompoms or traditional boxes . (Minimum order 4x boxes or £150 of general produce)
