We are located 65 Route de Delmas, in the heart of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

HistoryValerio Canez SA was established in 1937 in

downtown Port au Prince by Mr. Valerio. Through its outstanding reputation, Valerio

Canez managed to become the first international distributor of radio and

household appliances from General Electric.

In 1950, Mr. Canez brought his son, Leslie Canez, that would introduce the sales of Electrical Bulbs and X-Ray to their customers’ database.

In 1955, Hilda Canez Auguste, daughter of Mr. & Mme Canez joined the company after the Leslie decided to move to another country.

In 1975, M. Valerio Canez died but because of the company excellent reputation and their important customers’ database to whom Valerio Canez offered Credit terms, warranty and after sales service on all products sold. Every year, the company was able to work with very reputable suppliers which offered quality brand products for their customers.

Ralph Auguste, son of Louis & Hilda Auguste, joined Valerio Canez S.A. after an internship in Engineering Sales at General Electric Puerto Rico. His main ideas were to further cultivate the company through lending, technologically optimizing the infrastructure and diversified their target goals.Rapidly, the company is consolidated and offers industrials machineries. For doing so, it was necessary to increase the size of the offices. Also, a new store was built in Delmas in 1981. During that time, other family members joined the staff such as Rene-Max, Michaëlle and Joël Auguste.Recently in the year 2000, the grand children's of Mr. & Mme Auguste also incorporated the company. With their energy and the high qualified and dedicated staff, the company became a public company since 1990, has diversified its range of goods in wholesale and retail, and made available to customers of new products such as alternative energy and furniture.
