CAMPING Valens Lake offers 225 campsites, including 125 sites with electrical and water hookups, and group areas. Campsites offer lake views and forest covered areas, radio free zones and is alcohol free year round. Up to six people are permitted per campsite. Check-in is at 2 p.m. and check out is before 1 p.m. Reservations are recommended. Our campground store is open during the summer and weekends Labour Day to Thanksgiving. Firewood, ice and camping supplies are available. Quiet Hours: 10:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No excessive noise is permitted at any time. Alcohol is not permitted at any time. Home to a man-made reservoir, Valens Lake is a great place to visit for the day or for a week. Spend some time in the great outdoors and discover why Valens Lake has been an oasis for outdoor lovers since it first opened in 1968. BOATING Inquire at the gatehouse or beach store for rentals. There is a part day and full day rate and a deposit is required. Gas powered motors are not permitted. SWIMMING The beach area offers the perfect spot for swimming. Water is tested weekly during the summer. Our beach store offers beach toys and picnic supplies. There are no lifeguards on duty. Adults, children are your responsibility. FISHING Valens Lake has Northern Pike, Largemoth Bass, and panfish. Bait is available for purchase in season. In the spirit of conservation, Valens Lake promotes catch and release. The fishery is regulated by the Ministry of Natural Resources. LOCATION AND CONTACTS PICNICING We welcome group events such as family reunions and corporate picnics. We offer one picnic pavilion and three picnic areas. Picnic tables are available throughout the day-use area and do not require reservations. PETS Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and cannot be left unattended. No pets are permitted on the main beach; please contact staff for directions to the pet friendly water areas.
