God, Where’s My Stuff?Do you keep thinking (wishing) you had more money? More
time? More stuff? Well I can understand that thinking. I did
also. For me, I take all of my requests to the one whom can
grant them, God. I am bold enough to ask for more money,
more time, better health, to accomplish those things that matter
and make a difference. And of course, my never ending asking
for more stuff, that I am confident that I need to make my life
better. In late 2011, I spent my time in conversations with God
about these things ‘more stuff’. The things that GOD had prom-
ised me. GOD’s response was consistently the same “you have
everything that you need.” I respectfully disagreed with God
and stated my case, even giving facts of how this was not true. God continued to respond “you have
everything that you need.” After this consistent answer, I took the time to think. Honestly, (I never
win my arguments with God). I pondered GOD’s words to my heart; ‘If God says I have everything
I need, I must see from God’s perspective.’ Then I began to reassess “you have everything that you
need.” As I believed in my heart, no longer was I lacking money to indulge the little fantasies of my
life; I could meet my financial obligations as they were presented to me in the form of bills; I started
to save money; I began a routine of eating better, and regained my good health; my old pseudo
friends dropped away and I found new people who also enjoyed the abundance of life. Ah…..that is
what GOD desires for me to know and to experience that ‘I have everything that I need.’
I use this mantra daily to create a life of joy, abundance and peace. I have learned the art of
recycling (seeing something for a new and different purpose), I have embraced the art of wanting
less, and above all, I have learned to “pray in all occasions.” I share this tiny part of my life, because
you too “have everything that you need.” Simply enhance your relationship with God to see what
he sees for your life’s journey.

BUZZIn life it is so easy to get off your path of destiny with the many attractive things in life. I continue to stray from the path of life but I am getting smarter each time I return from the detours of my life’s journey. Here are things for you to look for as you walk the path of your life to stay the course; everything that glitters is not gold; this means everything you see that is shinny, bright and allur-ing is not what it seems. You must pray before you partake of these shinny baubles’ of life. When the perfect opportunity presents itself, pray and pray without ceasing. GOD does not disguise your blessings; He’s a transparent giver of gifts. Read the Bible, Torah and other holy books for these are the resume of GOD. Spending time reading to deepen your friendship with GOD, this will bring a wider under-standing of the character and the influence of GOD. Also, the more you know about GOD, the clearer the path to return to GOD becomes when you stray. You will always know how to come home.

How Agile Are You? Get Cheetah Agile
Some of us are natural-born “planners.” We plan out every moment of our lives in detail, from what we will be doing on the weekend to how many children we want and what their names will be, to how our career will progress – in detail! Others of us are “doers” and are more spontaneous, nervous if too many plans are made for us; we would rather live our lives with flexibility and freedom to make plans as we go. If you sit down and think about how last year’s activities evolved, you will probably be able to determine on which side of the spectrum you belong: a planner or a doer?
What’s great about project management is that it brings both sides of the spectrum together so that planners will eventually execute and do their project tasks and doers must first plan their project tasks before jumping right in. A relatively new way to do project management has made this merger of “planners” and “doers” even more seamless: Agile principles and practices.
What Exactly Is Agile? Agile is a philosophy that focuses on people, collaboration and shared values to get projects done. The Agile philosophy can be best described by the Agile Manifesto, which was written back in 2001 by a group of software project man-agers. But not to worry, planners, there’s plenty of opportunity for you as well in the Agile realm. In Agile, teams plan in “Sprints,” which is exactly how it sounds – plan-ning in small, fast bursts. Before every sprint there is a “Sprint Planning” meeting where the team meets with the products owner and decides what needs to get done in the next sprint. After the sprint the team goes through a “Sprint Review” where the team will demonstrate the incremental value that was attained during the sprint.
Using this method, planning and doing go back and forth in rapid succession to cre-ate clear transparency in what everyone is doing and what the project team should be focusing on.

Chef Besh is one of my favorite interviews (not just because I am from New Orleans), because I adore his style of cooking food that I grew-up which is the food that I continue to feed my New Orleans family.Based on the recipes from Chef John Besh’s cookbook “My New Orleans: 200 of My Favorite Recipes and Stories from My Hometown, “ a 2010 James Beard Foundation Award nominee. Well known thanks to appearances on “Iron Chef America,” “The Martha Stewart Show, “ TLC’s “Inedible to Incredible” “Treme,” and “The Valder Beebe Show,” Chef John Besh “My New Orleans Kitchen” is now broadcasting more than 200 public-TV stations.
My upcoming August guest, The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond’s an award-winning blogger and best-selling cookbook author shares her special brand of home cooking, from throw-together suppers to elegant celebra-
tions on her show The Pioneer Woman on the Food Network. The show, set against the incredible story of life at home on the range on her Oklahoma Ranch, one sassy former city girl, her hunky rancher husband and a band of adorable kids, an extended family, cowboys, 3000 wild mustangs, a herd of cattle and one placid basset hound and you have The Pioneer Woman (and she cooks with old fashion tools in her beautiful modern).
I am delighted to introduce you to Sarah Carey, Food Editor of Martha Stewart Living and the co-host of the Martha Stewart weekly cooking series “Everyday Food.” Sarah also co-authored the best-selling book Martha Stewart’s Cooking School. I will get ask Sarah those great questions in August about the show, the series, the cookbook and about working for Martha Stewart. This should be an interesting interview.

Can Christian Meditation Transform the Church?
As I sat in church this past week listening to the pastor talk about clarity and contemplation, I wondered if the congregation really grasped the significances of what he was sharing. He spoke of prayer and spending time with God, but did it register or was it just another Christian ideal that sounded good but had no real practicality. Knowing what I have learned about contemplation, meditation, and prayer, it takes discipline to carve out time everyday to spend time with God in stillness and reverent solitude. As I continued to listen, I wondered if mere words were enough to demonstrate the magnitude of such a practice. Was a sermon about contemplation and meditation enough or must further steps be taken? Do pastors not only need to talk about reverent silence, contemplation, and Christian meditation, but practice it as a body as well? And if so, how?
The service I attended consisted of praise and worship, some scripture reading, teaching, and ended with gospel music playing so loudly that you’d have a hard
time hearing your neighbor talk to you. Where was the contemplation in that I thought? If we are to talk about meditation (or words similar to it), isn’t it just as important that we teach it and practice as a body of believers?
Christian meditation would allow God’s word to wash away every care and dissolve every weight that we carried in with us- the act of hiding God’s word in our heart. As we mentally repeated the scripture passage, following the principles of meditation, any time we discovered our minds wandering off in thought, we would gently returned our attention back to the verses, thus creating a greater space to hear God and fellowship with Him from within. For those who attend church for the entertainment factor or an emotional experience, this might not go over so well.
And as the congregation saw the real affects of true contemplation and meditation acted out in service each week, they could then take the same practice to their homes. Once they got a taste of a true spiritual connection with God, not based on doing, but on “being” and “dwelling” in his presence, I believe it is something that they couldn’t live without. Many believers would discover their own link to God, the source of all their power and strength. This is the basis for when Jesus said that “when the Spirit comes, you will not need a man to teach you for the Holy Spirit will teach you all things.” The problem for most believers is that we don’t know how to access that Spirit living inside us because it is continually crowded out by distractions, noise, thoughts, and deceptions. We’re often like Samuel who kept hearing the voice of God calling him in the middle of the night and continuing to say, “Is that you Lord?” But unlike Samuel who had the Prophet to guide him and tell him it was the Lord calling, go and listen, we don’t have any one doing the same for us. So we just dismiss the voice and go about living on the same earthy plane and miss out on the intimate fellowship we can have with God.
Through Christian meditation and contemplation we experience transformation from the inside out. We learn that true bless-ings come from within, in the form of peace, joy, and contentment, instead of without, which we are frequently taught, even in many churches. They say your blessing is right around the corner or over the next mountain. God says you possess them already, for God has given us everything we need for a life of holiness and godliness, but we must access them from within. It will never be in the next relationship, the spouse, the house, the new car, the job or some external desire or perfect circum-stance. These things don’t satisfy the real void in our heart. They only mask them for a short time.
Jesus said that “the kingdom of God is within you,” and that is the only place we will find lasting joy, contentment, purpose and peace. But take note that entering the kingdom of God, this sacred place, has nothing to do with more dancing, shouting, preaching, or doing. We enter it through stillness and silence, by “being still and knowing that (He) is God.” We enter it by quieting our minds and shutting out or eliminating all the distractions that interfere with us touching the hem of Jesus’ gar-ment- the fears, illusions, and doubts. Seeking God with all your heart, soul, and strength begins with prayer, contemplation, and meditation, but not the kind of prayers that petition God for more.

Editor-In-Chief EvaLetitia Ellis
The indirect power of influence, who/what are you influenced by?
Have you allowed someone or something to have indirect power over you, your mind or soul? Yes, your soul…You have the ability to open your spirit up to undue influence whether you know it or not.How do the stories of the lives of others affect you personally? How do events that take place in our world affect you? Are you positive the people around you are influencing your life to be the best you can be? Take a moment or two to ponder these questions before answering.
Here is how the dictionary defines influence. The capacity or power of persons or things to be a compelling force on or produce effects on the actions, behavior, opinions, etc., of others: He used family influence to get the contract. The action or process of producing effects on the actions, behavior, opinions, etc., of another or others: Her mother’s influence made her stay. A person or thing that exerts influence: He is an influence for the good. Astrology: The radiation of an ethereal fluid from the stars, regarded as affecting human actions and destinies. Influence; - Noun importance; weight, pressure, preponderance, prevalence, sway; predominance; ascenden-cy; dominance, reign; control, domination, pull; authority; capability (power); effect; interest., footing; purchase (support); play, leverage, vantage ground., tower of strength, host in himself; protection, patronage, auspices. -verbs have influence; be influential; carry weight, weigh, tell; have a hold upon, magnetize, bear upon, gain a footing, work upon; take root, take hold; strike root in., run through, pervade; prevail, dominate, predominate; outweigh, overweigh; override, overbear; gain head; rage; be rife; spread like wildfire; have the upper hand, get the upper hand, gain the upper hand, have full play, get full play, gain full play., be recognized, be listened to; make one’s voice heard, gain a hearing; play a part, play a leading part, play a leading part in; take the lead, pull the strings; turn the scale, throw one’s weight into the scale; set the fashion, lead the dance. Influence allows something or someone to be the tower of strength in you. Close your eyes for a moment and visualize the first thing that comes to mind as you think about the most influential thing in your life. Now, think about the decisions you make or have made regarding yourself or the lives of those that listen to and respect you. What is the driving force behind what you are doing in your life and the lives of others? Could it be self grati-fication selfishness or the power of control? Is it something you want someone else to do because you didn’t do or have the opportunity to do it? Did you miss your opportunity to do it? Take time to consider the influence you have over others? Consider the lives you affect daily by your words and actions. Consider your position on world events and how your opinion is perceived by others. Consider your position as it relates to death and life. Who/what influenced your understanding and acceptance of death? If what you say or do doesn’t bring out the best capabilities in other for themselves, then consider the motive behind the action. It may be better to not say or do anything…If you haven’t, allow the Holy Spirit of God to influence your thoughts and actions by creating an atmosphere of relationship with God, keeping your influence over others pure in heart.By: EvaLetitia Ellis, Author; The Revelation of Women, A Personal RevelationEditor-in-Chief, BBSL
