NEEDED OR NOT??

If Guru Gobind Singh ji took Amrit themselves, is that not a clear indication

that we should do the same?

We like to say we are the sons and daughters of Guru Gobind Singh ji, but

shouldn’t we take the FIRST step to have the honour to call them our father.

By taking Amrit, obtaining Naam and following Rehit one has the right to call

themselves the child of Guru Gobind Singh ji. NOT prior to that.

ਜਉ ਤਉ ਪ੍ਰੇ��ਮ ਖੇ�ਲਣ ਕਾ ਚਾ ਉ ॥ If you desire to play this game of love with Me,

ਸਿ�ਰੁ� ਧਸਿਰੁ ਤਲ� ਗਲ� ਮ�ਰੁ� ਆਉ ॥ then step onto My Path with your head in hand.

ਇਤ� ਮ ਰੁਸਿਗ ਪ੍ਰੇ�ਰੁ� ਧਰੁ�ਜ� ॥ When you place your feet on this Path.

ਸਿ�ਰੁ� ਦੀ�ਜ� ਕਾ ਸਿਣ ਨ ਕਾ�ਜ� ॥੨੦॥ give Me your head, and do not pay any attention to public opinion. ||20||

��ਸਿਰੁ ਨਰੁ ਮ�ਸਿਨ ਜਨ ਅੰ�ਸਿਮ�ਤ� ਖੇ ਜਦੀ� �� ਅੰ�ਸਿਮ�ਤ� ਗ�ਰੁ ਤ� ਪ੍ਰੇ ਇਆ ॥ The angelic beings and the silent sages search for the Ambrosial Nectar; this Amrit is

obtained from the Guru.

ਪ੍ਰੇ ਇਆ ਅੰ�ਸਿਮ�ਤ� ਗ�ਸਿਰੁ ਸਿ!ਪ੍ਰੇ ਕਾ�ਨ� �ਚਾ ਮਸਿਨ ਵ� ਇਆ ॥ This Amrit is obtained, when the Guru grants His Grace; He enshrines the True Lord

within the mind.

ਜ�ਅੰ ਜ�ਤ �ਸਿ# ਤ�ਧ� ਉਪ੍ਰੇ ਏ ਇਸਿਕਾ ਵ�ਸਿਖੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਰੁ�ਸਿਣ ਆਇਆ ॥ All living beings and creatures were created by You; only some come to see the Guru,

and seek His blessing.

ਲਬੁ� ਲ #� ਅੰਹੰ�ਕਾ ਰੁ� ਚਾ'ਕਾ �ਸਿਤਗ�ਰੁ' #ਲ # ਇਆ ॥ Their greed, avarice and egotism are dispelled, and the True Guru seems sweet.

ਕਾਹੰ� ਨ ਨਕਾ� ਸਿਜ� ਨ( ਆਸਿਪ੍ਰੇ ਤ�ਠਾ ਸਿਤਸਿਨ ਅੰ�ਸਿਮ�ਤ� ਗ�ਰੁ ਤ� ਪ੍ਰੇ ਇਆ ॥੧੩॥ Says Nanak, those with whom the Lord is pleased, obtain the Amrit, through the Guru. ||
