Vaikundarajan Updates On Indias Performance At Wimbledon

http://vaikundarajans.wordpress.comSania Mirza and Martina Hingis continued their top form as they beat USAs McHale and Ostapenko in just 46 minutes. While Mirza-Hingis impressed us with their game, Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea bowed out as they lost to tenth seeded pair Kontinen-Peers, informs Vaikundarajan.

http://vaikundarajanblog.blogspot.inMirza-Hingis entered the quarter finals of Wimbledon tennis tournament after an impressive 6-1, 6-0 victory against their opponent. On another court, Bopanna-Mergea lost 6-2, 3-6, 4-6, 7-6 (6), 6-8 to be knocked out of mens double tournament. The match was played for 2 hours and 55 minutes.

http://vaikundarajans.blogspot.inSania Mirza was particularly remarkable with her aggressive first serve points. She won a staggering 19 out of 28 first serve points and two out of five break points to open the first set at 6-1, says Vaikundarajan.

http://vaikundarajans.wordpress.comBopanna-Mergea started their match on a positive note leading early on at 4-0 and winning the first set 6-2. It looked as if the pair would pull off another victory. However, Kontinen-Peers came out strong in the 2nd set and from there on, it looked like the match was slipping away from Bopanna-Mergea.

http://vaikundarajanblog.blogspot.inThe comeback in the 4th set was not enough for the pair as they were defeated convincingly by their opponents.

http://vaikundarajans.blogspot.inVaikundarajana sends his best wishes to Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis for the next round and hopes they clinch the title once again.
