Problem : very low blood circulation; planned amputation of right leg;

Previous treatments : physiotherapy and ozon therapy; medication; other methods were applied to improve blood circulation / treatments within 6 months without significant results;

Therapy with VACUMED : 8 treatments / 30 minutes each 50 mbar neg. pressure / 10 seg. / 1,01 bar atmospheric pressure / 8 seg.

Result : accelerated wound healing; colour of foot significantly improved, dark spots disappeared; amputation was avoided;

Indications: post op. oedema, pain and exsudates in the knee joint. Contraindications: Infections, chronic diseases, thrombosis.

In comparison with the control group, who did not receive intermittent vacuum therapy, the examined patients showed a faster reduction of the oedema by 2 – 6 days (average 3.5) and reported less pain during physiotherapy.
