MAJOR PROJECT ON Vacuum Pressure Powered Cooling
System

This project is inclined to design a useful and fully
functional Cooling system.
It is based on the relation between boiling point and
vapour pressure of water.
Introduction
Lowering the Vapour Pressure of water lowers the
boiling point of water respectively.
Heat Energy is required to boil the water.
Heat absorbed from a space makes temperature drop
in that space
Principle

Vacuum Pump creates Vacuum Pressure of about 0.01
bar inside the water container.
Water starts boiling at room temperature.
Heat from Surrounding is consumed by water for
boiling.
As heat is absorbed the surrounding temperature drops.
Working
Ideal for short-term storage of Fruit Vegetable Medicines Vaccines Beverage bottles, etc Can be used in Cold storage ware houses.
Applications
Consumes significantly less electricity. No hazardous gases are released. Zero Pollution Can be made human powered by pedaling the pump. Completely Eco- friendly
Advantages
Large setup area required for large space cooling.
Water to be filled on regular basis.
Limitations
It could have been made human powered
by using a bicycle and running the pump by pedaling.
Could work with solar energy driven motor, if needed.
Dunlop vacuum pipes could have been used in place of gas pipes to avoid leakage.
Ideas To Be Implemented
The proposed technology has its scope in various fields
like Air conditioning, Refrigeration and cooling places etc.
Future Scope
Temperature drop is noticed but not as expected. Completely leak proof piping connection can perform
the expected task. This cooling system is practical and possible for mass
manufacturing.
