We will explore such mysteries as electricity, light, force, sound, and optical illusions to name a few. Not only will we explore, this class is also about how to apply what we learn about these phenomena in practi-cal ways. Psalms tells us that it is “the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of kings to search it out”. Join us as we search out the mysteries of the amazing world we live in. The more we have time to explore the more we have time to unravel the mystery behind science. Some might say science is boring, yet when you have the opportunity to see what can happen you see things that are truly amazing!

Session 1 Classes: 5th - 7th GradeFUNdamentals of Math $425M-Th June 9th - June 26th 8:30AM - 11:30AMParents often feel that, over the summer, their child’s math skills wane. Others are frustrated as students begin to learn pre-algebraic and algebraic math because their child misses points on problems by making simple com-putational mistakes. As a result, Vacaville Christian Middle School is offering a great course this summer called FUNdamentals of Math!!! This course will review the basics like multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, fractions, percentages, and decimals. Whether your child is going into 6th or 7th grade, this is a fabulous class. Students will review math concepts using technology, games, exercises, and fun competitions in the classroom. This will be a highly interactive and fun learning environment. Students enjoy what they understand and what they feel equipped to do! This course gives them those tools!

Session 2: Grades 6th & 7thMath 6/Pre-Algebra $425M-Th June 30th - July 17th 8:30AM - 11:30AM*A student must end the year with a grade of “C-” or better in order to proceed to the next math course. Middle School students receiving a “D+” or below must enroll in summer school, or to an accredited summer school pro-gram, to ensure readiness for the next math level. Successful completion/ readiness is determined by having the student retake the 2nd semester math fi nal and earn a grade of a 70% (C-) or above in the course. Math courses must be taken in order and only after successful completion (C– or above) of the previous math course.
