An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Senior Charge Nurse within the Outpatient Department.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate commitment to person centred care and supporting effective team working. The post holder will have 24 hour responsibility for the Department, providing clinical leadership, managing the nursing team and having a pivotal role in driving service improvement. You will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to the delivery of organisational objectives. The post holder must have experience as a Charge Nurse within an acute setting and be able to demonstrate expert clinical and professional practice through experience and theoretical knowledge.

This post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week. There is also a requirement to participate in the Duty Charge Nurse rota for the Emergency Care Directorate.

You must be on the General Nursing and Specialist Community Public Health Nurse parts of the NMC Register, have a relevant first level degree/post-registration qualification and be able to demonstrate evidence of further professional development. You must be willing to undergo further training to advance your skills and knowledge.

You must have substantial post-registration experience including relevant experience in health protection. Community experience, and practical experience in the field of Public Health Nursing/Infection Control is desirable and experience in communicable disease and TB control would be advantageous.

An exciting and challenging secondment opportunity has arisen at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for an enthusiastic senior registered nurse who is keen to enhance and develop their management and clinical skills in a Senior Charge Nurse position.

The candidate should have a commitment to acute medicine of the elderly, patient centred care and supporting effective team working. The post holder will have 24 hour responsibility for the ward, providing clinical leadership, managing and developing the nursing team and having a pivotal role in driving forward models of care. The post holder will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to the delivery of the organisation's objectives. The post holder must have a minimum post registration experience at charge nurse level within an acute clinical setting and be able demonstrate expert clinical and professional practice development through experience and theoretical knowledge, with management and leadership experience. They must understand the complexities of caring for frail individuals with acute and chronic episodes of delirium whilst planning care and treatment for acute medical conditions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to join our team within the Day Intervention Unit Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy.The Day Intervention Unit covers Endoscopy, Day Surgery, Surgical Elective Admission Lounge and Interventional Radiology.

This post will involve providing leadership, support and coordination of the day surgery area and endoscopy recovery area of DIU.

Supporting the Senior Charge Nurse to manage the nursing team and support service development is an integral part of this leadership role. Participation in audit and quality improvement is essential therefore previous experience of this is desirable.

Good decision making skills in clinical practice and the ability to work without supervision are essential as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.You must possess evidence of effective team working and excellent interpersonalskills, and be committed to patient focused care.

An opportunity has arisen for a part time qualified nurse to work with the District Nursing teams at Kelty and Linburn Health Centre. The post is offered on a fixed term basis, to cover maternity leave until 31st July 2018. You will be a 1st level registered nurse (adult nursing) with an interest in District Nursing. You will also have excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working within the community setting. You will deliver a high standard of person-centred, non-discriminatory care to patients in the West Fife area. This post is worked between Kelty and Linburn health Centre however the post holder may be assigned work within the wider area of West Fife as service delivery and staffing levels dictate.

Previous Community experience is desirable, but not essential as full induction to the post will be given. The post does not include participation in the weekend rota. If appropriate you will be expected to undertake the NHS Flying Start programme.

At present we have 5 qualified Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners in post and 2 currently in training.

We are a forward thinking unit. You will be given the opportunity to undertake Foundations in Neonatal Care modules.

We are looking for individuals to join our team of staff. You must possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work within the team as well as on your own initiative.

This project aims to spread the learning from our phase 1 project in provision of Best Supportive Care to other cancer and non cancer groups. This post will be offered on a seconded basis for a period of 12 months. This project works across acute and community settings and you will work as part of the specialist palliative care nursing team. Muiredge surgery is a well-established practice situated on the Fife coast, 10 minutes’ drive from Kirkcaldy and approximately 30-35 minutes’ drive from Dundee and Edinburgh.

We are looking for an enthusiastic GP to join our friendly team. We have 7,500 patients approx. and 5 FTE GPs. (Currently 5 partners and 2 salaried GPs, all part-time i.e. less than 9 sessions, min 5 sessions, max 8.)

We have 6 sessions to offer, due to the relocation of one of our salaried GPs to a practice nearer home, and would prefer to offer a partnership but are happy to negotiate.

We work from modern purpose built premises and offer: Training and teaching practice, with ample opportunity for personal

development. High QOF achiever in the past. We have maintained our registers and chronic

disease management clinics. EMIS clinical system, paper light practice. In house services such as minor surgery, family planning and child health

services. Innovative triage/clinical team involving our medical and nursing teams. On site district nurses. A wide range of visiting services such as psychiatry for the elderly,

psychology, midwifery, podiatry, dietetics and alcohol counselling. Close liaison with community palliative care nurses and health visitors. Golden Hello £10,727.

TREATMENT ROOM NURSE 25 HOURS PER WEEKWith the option to increase hours to cover Maternity Leave from July 2018

We are looking for an experienced Treatment Room Nurse to join our friendly and supportive Nursing Team to work in our Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay Surgeries.

The ideal candidate should have experience in treatment room tasks including wound management, venepuncture, immunisations, travel vaccinations and cervical cytology.

In addition, good communication, computer and organisational skills are essential for this post.

Salary will be subject to experience and qualifications.
