The Benefits of Vibration

V-TONE VT11Vibration Platform

Improved Circulation: The rapid contraction & relaxation of the muscles at 20-50 times per second basically works as a pump on the blood & lymphatic vessels, increasing the speed of blood through the body. Another benefit is that it opens arteries a little. This enables more blood, oxygen & glucose to reach the organs. Regular use will keep arteries in a more open position.

Increased Bone Mineral Density: Vibe training causes compression & remodelling of the bone tissue, activating the osteoblasts (bone building cells), while reducing the activity of the osteoclasts (cells that break bone down). Repeated stimulation of this process, combined with the increased pull on bones by the muscles, will increase bone mineral density over time. It is also likely that improved circulation & the related bone perfusion due to a better supply of nutrients, which are more able to penetrate the bone tissue.

Force = Mass x Acceleration: You can improve the amount of strength or force your muscles exert be either applying more mass (weights/resistance) OR more acceleration to your body. Lifting a heavy weight can be substituted by an increase in speed. When you are lifting weights, you’re increasing mass to build strength. By increasing acceleration you eliminate the high impact ( & hard work) of lifting heavy weights. With vibe training no additional weights are necessary, which ensures there is very little loading to bones, ligaments & joints. This is why it is suited to people that are difficult to train due to old age, illness, weight or injury. It is also highly beneficial for professional athletes who want to stimulate & strengthen their muscles without overloading joints.

G-Force: The platform vibrates upwards to work directly against gravity which accelerates the body upwards; an effect similar to an elevator moving upwards. You feel this acceleration as G-Force which is adding to the force of gravity pulling you toward the earth; as if your body just became heavier. G-Force is multiples of the earth’s gravity (9 metres per

second). When you jump on a trampoline your gravitational pull ranges from zero at the top of the bounce to 2-3 times the force of gravity at the bottom. Linear machines can work the muscles up to 6 times (6G) in the upward phase, meaning the person on the platform is weight training using their own body mass. The human body is designed to absorb vertical vibrations better due to the effects of gravity. Less than 1G = low intensity, more than 1G = high intensity. This is a similar effect as produced by explosive power training (jumping & bouncing).

Physiotherapy & Training: Vibe training can be split into these 2 categories; A pivotal machine running on low frequency (12Hz & under) would be mainly used for physiotherapy applications & some strength & conditioning. Above this frequency it enters the area of exercise discipline.

Growth Hormone & Cortisol: As reported in the European Journal Of Applied Physiology a test of blood samples & plasma concentrations for testosterone, growth hormone & cortisol were measured before & after vibe training of 10 sets of 60 seconds with 60 seconds rest in between. Testosterone & growth hormone increased whilst cortisol decreased on completion of the test.

WBV training has been proven scientifically: It is used & recommended extensively by Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists & Gyms. Elite sports clubs & institutions such as the West Coast Eagles, Fremantle Dockers, Collingwood, Good Life & Fitness First Gyms, Perth Wildcats, New York Yankees, LA Lakers, Chicago Bulls, US Olympic Training Centre, NASA, & more than 90 NFL, NBA, MLB & NHL teams use the technology for rehab, fitness & strength enhancement. Other famous users include Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Elle McPherson & Clint Eastwood.

By standing on the vibrating platform, the repetitive upward movement transfers energy through the body which stimulates muscle fibre to contract and relax involuntary at rapid speed at up to 50 contractions per/sec

The Orbit Vibration Platform VT11 Adds G-Forces to all

Your Body Weight Exercises for Fast Results!

Unlike regular exercise this provides most of the movement for you and engages as much as 95% of your muscle fibres, many more than are used in a conscious, voluntary movement.

This improves muscle strength and tone, increases bone density and enhances balance and circulation.

Vibration training can be high or low intensity and is very safe for all age groups and fitness levels.

Vibration Training Facilitates 3 types of training:• Therapy for reducing back pain and for injury rehabilitation.

• As it exercises nearly all of your body’s muscles at the same time, it covers the 4 key elements; cardio-resistance-core-flexibility.

• Slimming as it burns fat cells, reduces cellulite and gives a slimmer waist line.
