Season FixturesPlease note that it is the team’s responsibility to find out their team’s fixtures. Teams will not be called or emailed regarding their match times. Fixtures can be viewed on the Social Sports notice board at the UWA Recreation & Fitness Centre or on the UWA Sports website: www.sport.uwa.edu.au. Alternatively, teams can contact reception on 6488 2286. A set of fixtures will be distributed to teams on the first night of competition (or after grading is finalised).

UniformsUniforms will be enforced. All members of the team are required to wear the same uniform, i.e. same colour and shade tops and bottoms by the end of the first two weeks of grading. All teams must now wear numbers as well. Failure to do so will result in loss of points – see game by-laws. In the event of a uniform colour clash, the second mentioned team on the scoresheet is to use UWA Sports bibs, available at reception. Please refer to the by-laws for what footwear is permitted for each sport.

Game Time AvailabilityAll teams can expect to get an even spread of game time slots over the season. Weekday match times are 6:00pm, 6:45pm, 7:30pm, 8:15pm, 9:00pm and 9:45pm if necessary. Fixtures will not be changed once they have been set unless teams join or withdraw from the competition. Management reserves the right to add and change any game times where necessary. Special fixture requests will be considered. Requests must be submitted in writing with the Nomination Form before the closing date for nominations (3/8/11). Requests received after this date will not be considered. UWA Sports will consider all time requests but reserves the right to not accept them if they do not meet fixturing requirements or the best interests of the competition.

GradingChanges to playing grade must be made in the first week of competition. These changes will be made at the discretion of the Head Umpire and the Social Sports Coordinator. Changes will be made in the following instances:• A team requests a grade change within the first two weeks of competition.

Any requests must be made to the Social Sports Coordinator on 6488 2286.

• The Social Sports Coordinator and/or Head Umpire believe that a team is not compatible with the grade that they are currently playing in.

ForfeitsTeams must attend every fixture for the season or notify UWA Sports if they cannot attend a fixture and a forfeit will result. A forfeit may be declared if a team fails to honour their fixture.

In the case of a forfeit, the offending team will be fined a match fee. Teams forfeiting will be invoiced immediately. Fines must be paid prior to the next fixture otherwise the team will not be awarded premiership points while any forfeit fines are outstanding. Premiership points not awarded due to outstanding fines will not be allocated even when the fine is paid. Teams with outstanding forfeit fees from previous seasons will not be eligible to take part in following seasons until all fees are paid.

FinalsThe two-week finals format will be continued this season. In week one, teams will play semi-finals (1v4, 2v3, 5v8, 6v7, etc.), with grand finals taking place the following week. Please note all teams will play in the grand finals subject to byes.

Withdrawal of TeamsTeams withdrawing from the competition after the grading period (22/8/11) will be subject to a $100 withdrawal fee plus any outstanding fines incurred prior to withdrawal.

Player / Team ConductPlayers and teams are expected to uphold the values of the Social Sports competition by abiding by the rules and by-laws of each sport, abiding by and respecting the referee/umpire and behaving in a sportsperson-like manner at all times. UWA Sports reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any player and/or team that breaches these conduct guidelines.A copy of the by-laws can be attained from UWA Sports reception or at www.sport.uwa.edu.au.
