T his campaign has le d to new le g i s l a t i o n i n 1956 whereby th e A looho lie Beverage C ontro l Commission was o rd ered to suspend th e l iq u o r l ic e n s e s o f b a rs s e rv in g hom osexuals, "sex p e rv e r ts " e tc .

As a r e s u l t , M r.Lowenthal 1s ag a in re p re se n tin g th e "B lack C at" and a n o th e r Bay A rea b a r whose l i c e n s e s have been revoked. H is two m assive b r i e f s p re s e n te d in th e s e c a se s a re b r i l l i a n t l y conceived a t t a c k s on th e s o - c a l le d " l e g a l" p e rs e c u tio n o f hom osexuals.
