WEBINAR NATIONAL Organic farming has made remarkable progress in recent years and India is receiving intense global attention as potential destination of organic food. The demand for organic food is increasing sharply both in domestic and international market with perception of being safe, healthy and hazard free besides having superior organoleptic quality. Apart from food, organic products on health and immunity building as well as beauty and personal care market are increasing sharply throughout the globe. India has tremendous potentially to grow crops organically and emerge as a major supplier of organic products in global organic market. However the emerging issues on production constrains, profitability and economic viability of the production system need to be addressed. More public awareness need to be created on health benefit of organic products and harmful effect of agro-chemicals in farming system. The proposed national webinar will provide an opportunity to discuss new ideas and dissemination of profitable organic farming technologies for the betterment of organic farming community of India.
