General description
This model UTM is powered by hydraulic, it’s mainly used for mechanical testing of metal and nonmetal material
under normal temperature condition. It mainly can perform tensile, compression, bending, shear tests. Controlled
by servo system to enable automatic control of oil flow, thus to enable precision close-loop control thus to achieve
constant load, constant displacement, constant strain tests. Four robust columns to guarantee rigidness of main
frame when testing; Powerful application software, test data real time indication on computer screen, different test
mode can be setup, different test standards selectable according to different materials, test curve real time
generation; complete test parameters presentation in report. Real time test report print output.

The UTM mainly comprised of a test frame and an oil controller.

The main frame lower side box installed with hydraulic oil cylinder, beam-driven motor, reducer; upper side
comprised of four vertical columns, 2 vertical screw rod, 2 beams, 2 gripping jaws, 2 compression platens, 1set
bend test fixture.
The oil controller is comprised of oil tank, oil pump, servo system. PC and printer can be placed on the controller
box.
Oil cylinder positioned at lower side, tensile space positioned at upper side, compression and bending space
positioned between main machine and work bench, dual test space.

Hydraulic system
When working, the hydraulic oil will be feed into the oil pipe through pump, flow through a single-direction valve,
high pressure oil filter, pressure differential valve assembly, then enter the oil cylinder. The servo valve status is
controlled by signal from servo system, thus to control the flow of oil, thus to achieve accurate constant rate test
load loading, constant displacement velocity, constant strain rate
Test running
There are two beams, the stationary upper beam and the moveable lower beam, the lower beam is
moved driven by motor through reducer, chain transmission structure, screw rod assembly, easier for
test space adjustment though operating the buttons located on the test bench. When testing, the beam

status as below
1. Tensile test-after adjust the lower beam position and installed the sample, the lower beam will be
stationary, then piston will mover upward thus lift the upper beam move upward to stretch the
sample;
2. Bending and compression test-after installed the sample, lower beam will be in stationary, then
piston will lift the test bench to move upward thus to push the sample thus to test;
