This is substantial achievement in view of the prevailing situation in micro finance industry. The product is currently being piloted in Varanasi and based on experience, feedback in next few months, would be rolled out at other locations within the catchment area of Utkarsh. This would form part of 15% non microfinance asset as permitted in recent regulatory guidelines. Effective Social Performance Management (SPM) leads to stronger alignment of systems and processes with organization’s mission and yields real value to target clientele of MFIs. Utkarsh has moved ahead in this direction by nominating Mr Ajai Raj Sharma, Director on the board of company, as SPM SPM SPM SPM Director. Director. Director. Director. This will help in setting clearer goals and objectives and creating deliberate and concrete strategy to achieve them Credit Credit Credit Credit Plus Activities Plus Activities Plus Activities Plus Activities Health Camp Health Camp Health Camp Health Camp Increasing the services provided under credit plus activities, Utkarsh organized a health camp at Ghazipur, in collaboration with Apollo Hospital Varanasi. More than 450 people were examined in this camp. The camp provided facilities for basic health check up like Blood test, sugar test, pregnancy test and distribution of free medicine for the members and their families. Utkarsh is committed to organize more such camps in future. Four employees of the company have been trained for financial awareness programme. Total 473 women have participated in financial awareness program during November 2011 to March 2012. The main thrust was knowing the clients and their requirements, and also sensitizing them about the perils of overindebtedness, benefits of small savings, budgeting and planning for future.

from 13 villages of Harahua block in Varanasi district. More than hundred

members have started producing agarbatti on commercial basis .These

members have produced more than 5000 Kg of Agarbatti during the year. This

acts as filler and provides incremental income to the family. The members can

undertake the work without sacrificing their normal day to day activities.
