ALUMNI DEDICATION:Remembering Joe Hodge and Jeremy Devault

We were all sad to hear of the sudden passing of Joe Hodge in 2009. He was a loving father, great drummer, caring teacher, and cherished friend. You can contribute to a fund for Joe’s daughter’s by searching for “In Memory of Joe Hodge” on Facebook.

Additionally, we lost Jeremy Devault earlier this year. People are still posting notes about Jeremy on his Facebook page. We have started a scholarship in Jeremy’s name if you would like to contribute (see center box below).

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHTEd Sargent - Tour Manager Joan Jett

On top of a ton of Joan Jett and the Blackheart dates all over the United States, former UTM percussionist Ed Sargent finds himself at the Sundance film festival with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning with the new “Runaways” movie based on Joan Jett’s first band. Ed has recently coordinated appearances on the David Letterman and Jay Leno shows and film premieres in New York and LA.

The snowball effect is in full motion Ed is setting up Joan’s summer tour with GREENDAY. He leaves this week on a stadium tour of Europe which includes stops in Coppenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki, Gottenburg, Vienna, Manchester, Dublin and Glasgow to name a few...
