CARRIER SHIP

The Dominion carrier ship in and of itself does not pose a significant threat. Though fast, the ships are relatively sluggish in flight and have minimal defenses. However, each carrier ship is equipped with at least a hundred Jem’Hadar attack craft, making them the most feared ships in the war at the moment.

COMMAND BATTLESHIP

The Dominion Command Battleship is a formidable and impressive vessel, measuring nearly half a mile in length. It is less of an attack craft and more of an organizational command vessel, but these ships can hold their own in combat. They are never seen alone, but always with a fleet of Jem’Hadar attack craft.

‘GLASSER’ SHIP

No one knows the true name of the ship the Dominion deploys to ‘glass’ planets, but it is a huge and powerful ship. These vessels are only ever seen one at a time, and they are always escorted by a powerful fleet.

JEM’HADAR FIGHTER

The Jem’Hadar fighter is currently the most feared of all threat force ships. Fast, agile, heavily shielded and armored, this craft is the match for Starfleet vessels twice its size. The Jem’Hadar are masters of space combat and will use any advantage, even ramming, to defeat their enemies. This is not a ship to be underestimated.

GORN SHIPS

BAHISS CRUISER

The Bahiss has been the main line cruiser for the Gorn for the better part of sixty years. Though there have been various refits and updates, the hull shape has remained reasonably consistent. These ships are no longer really a threat to Federation border

patrols; they are too old and slow.

BAHUMET CRUISER

Little is known of the Bahumet class. Only two have been encountered, and they turned and fled before they could be engaged or even scanned in detail.

CISSETH CLASS SHUTTLE

Little is known of this class other than it is the only Gorn shuttle ever seen.

MAHARAD SCOUT

The Maharad class scout is a newer design; little is known about it other than it seems to be a newer and even swifter version of the Sassek.

SASSEK SCOUT

The Sassek class scout is an older design that has been spotted numerous times along the border. She is not especially well armed, but she is a fast, agile ship and hard to catch.

VOVOSSA TROOP CARRIER

Only incomplete scans of the Vovossa have ever been made, but

due to the readouts collected and the power supply, it is believed that the Vovossa is a troop carrier.

BORG CUBE V

Without a doubt the worst enemy the Federation has ever faced, the Borg were responsible for the destruction of over 800 Starfleet and allied vessels at the battle of the Ring, where they lost only five of their ships. They have not been seen since, but it is believed it is merely a matter of time until they return once more.

CHALNOTH ASSAULT SHIP

The Chalnoth are not considered much of a threat in space; for private ships,

their vessels are formidable, but hardly a match for most Starfleet vessels. Chalnoth ships are sturdily built but are not highly maneuverable. They are

meant to double as attack cruisers and cargo ships, so some compromises have been made. Reportedly their life support systems are excellent.

HAGLEK BATTLEWAGON

While the Federation has had exactly one contact with the Haglek, we have

derived a great deal of information from talks with the Klingons, who have been fighting the Haglek for fifty years. Haglek ships are large and well

armed and more than a match for most Federation ships; their captains do not have much desire to be diplomats.

APNEX CLASS

The Apnex class explorer is a smaller ship that is used primarily for scientific research and deep space mapping missions. Small, swift, and lightly armed, the Apnex is the main ship available to the Romulan scientific community.

D’DERIDEX CLASS

The D’deridex, also known as the warbird, is the main ship of the line in the Romulan fleet. Huge powerful ships, they are equipped with cloaking devices are are formidable vessels. Rumors of recent upgrades cannot be confirmed. It is known they have more than met their match against the Dominion.

LANORA CLASS

The Lanora ship is the most commonly seen Romulan ship. A small, fast cruiser, the Lanora is lightly armed and shielded but is extremely fast. It is used for both scientific and diplomatic assignments.

NOREXAN CLASS

The Norexan is a very new cruiser, having been introduced in 2372. No more than a handful can exist and those have only been spotted by the Cardassians. This ship is smaller than the D’deridex, prompting Starfleet to wonder if the economic strain of the larger ship is finally being felt, necessitating a smaller class cruiser. It is known that these ships were embraced by the Tal’Shiar and apparently have done very well against the Dominion.

RAPTOR CLASS

The Raptor is a smaller ship of the line, apparently an update on the bird of prey the Romulans used a century ago. She is a relatively new design and has not seen much action yet. Apparently she was designed as a counter to the Jem’Hadar fighter, but it is unknown how this class has performed in combat.

ALTAIRIAN LUXTAM CLASS

The Luxtam class freighter is a tried and true design, simple, sturdy, that

seemingly lasts forever; some of the original models, almost 200 years old, are still in service. These freighters can be seen all over the Federation, from

Minayan trading yards to the Orion Cartel. V

ALTAIRIAN TUVALA CLASS

The Tuvala class freighter is the newest Altairian design, a good deal larger and faster than most other designs; most importantly, this type of ship can

support a cloaking device, which other Altairian freighters (and many other ships) could never do. All Altairian records are open to Federation perusal,

as Altair is a member of the Federation. Few of these ships are actually equipped with cloaking devices, but the model has proven to be very

popular. V

BATTLESTAR CLASS

Given to the Federation by the Colonials in 2369 in return for settling rights on Earth, the Battlestar Galactica is the single most formidable ship in the

Federation. It has been decided to keep this huge ship at Earth, where it can protect the capital against any invader. This, in turn, has freed up many

starships from capital defense.

CONDOR

The Condor was a well known vessel in many parts of the Triangle; her owner Amarel has painted her a deep blue, with medium blue markings,

making the ship look very impressive indeed. She always kept it in excellent condition. With the Dominion’s seizing of the entire Triangle and Bajor areas,

Amarel’s fate remains unknown. V

DARKSABER

It is unknown just how the Patriarch of the Kzinti managed to convince the Romulans to let him have a D’deridex Warbird, but Chmeee commands one

of the most powerful ships in the Federation. He painted it black, with green trim, a traditional Patriarchy ship color scheme. The ship has been modified

extensively on the inside as well. The Darksaber only barely survived the battle of the Ring in 2370 and took almost eight months to repair

completely. It is now the flagship of the Ring fleet.

EKOSIAN SEALION

The Ekosian Sealion Class Cruisers are strong, well built ships that house a

full wing of Tyger fighters. They do not have a large patrol range, keeping in and near the Ekosian system, but the Tygers are frequently on patrol. So far

no Sealion has ever been in battle with a foe worthy enough to give it trouble. They are praised also for their exceptional ship repair facilities.

FERENGI D’KORA

The Ferengi D’Kora class marauder is fast, powerfully armed, and able to use cloaking devices. There are becoming better known thanks to the Federation’s increased presence in the Triangle and the Bajor system. These respectable ships can be built very quickly and take a real pounding in combat, so they are not to be underestimated.

FERENGI D’NARA

The Ferengi D’Nara shuttle is small, fast, and maneuverable. She has low defenses but is meant to be a short range trading vessel despite her speed.

HUSNOCK BATTLESHIP

It is a question that haunts Starfleet’s designers to this day; how could a small and seemingly culturally backward race have designed ships that are

so powerful and so impressive? Some believe that the Douwd Kevin Uxbridge provided them with the ships so that the Husnock could not be

easily wiped out again; some believe that Uxbridge merely restored what the

Husnock had already created. Whatever the case, the Husnock fleet is not something to be trifled with.

KORAI LIFESHIP

A mysterious race, the Korai do not seem hostile or aggressive, but they are not easily understood and are very powerful, which leads to situations where

violence springs up. At current, Starfleet has no way to initiate contact with this strange race. If encountered, use extreme caution and report to

Starfleet Command immediately. V

ORION WANDERER

Once a major scourge of the southern half of the Federation, the Orion Wanderer was long ago eclipsed by Federation technology and Klingon

firepower. The Orions have continued to upgrade their ships, but they have

lost the ability to keep up with the major governments. Craft has taken the place of speed and brawn; the Orions continually fit new and better engines

on the same housings, and Federation captains have no idea if the ship they're facing is sixty years old or five. Still, this ship, while durable, has not

been significantly updated in half a century. Most of them have been captured or destroyed by the Dominion.

SHELIAK SETTLER SHIP

Though it is believed that the Sheliak have larger, more powerful warships,

to date the only vessel of theirs conclusively scanned is their settler ship. The Sheliak use these ships to transport new colonies and their supplies to

their worlds.

YRIDIAN SHUTTLE

The Yridian shuttle is one of the least expensive designs to produce, and has

therefore caught on in many sectors of space. Yridian designs were once

scarce, but with the widespread acceptance of this cheap, sturdy shuttle, they are beginning to be accepted throughout the Federation.

ZIBALIAN TRANSPORT

The Zibalian transport is an older design, but still well used throughout the

Federation by Zibalian merchants and traders. Boasting a large cargo space

and luxurious accommodations, the Zibalian transports are being bought up by Tellar Travel and Alpha Waves, Inc, two pleasure yacht companies, in

huge numbers. The ships are easy to customize and very reliable.
