THE USE OF CYTOKINESIN HOMEOPATHYTHE FRACTAL DYNAMICS AT THE ROOT

OF OUR BODIES FUNCTIONING

The professional practice of homeopa-thic medicine requires patience, “clear-sightedness”, and, above all, adaptabi-lity. According to the principles ofhomeopathy, it is possible to rapidlyimplement the clinical application ofnew discoveries in modern science, without endangering the body.

We must respond to the needs of ourpatients who are suffering from patho-logies that were once unknown - wecan’t treat a patient with AIDS usingtherapeutic techniques from 200 yearsago….

So why don’t we use the regulatorymessages of our immune system, thecytokines, in hypophysiological dosesto defend us against past, present andfuture attacks?

This is the argument posed by thisreport. At the time of writing, November1994, the following immunologicalintermediates had been identified andproduced for research and treatment, and the majority of these are availablein homeopathic form:– 15 Interleukins and their receptorantagonists– 6 cell growth Factors– 3 types of Interferon– about twenty other factors, which cancurrently not be classified under a pre-cise category

SUMMARY:

WHY SHOULD WE USE CYTOKI-NES AND HOMEOPATHIC DILU-TIONS?

Man is the result of the balance bet-ween numerous biological systems, whose activity has one objective: thesurvival of the whole. An imbalance inone of these systems can immediatelybe compensated for temporarily by anadditional system. Each system opera-tes, or should operate, according to theprinciples of fractal dynamics whichseems to provide a rational explanationfor numerous lifeforms (plants, forma-tion of crystals, functioning of the hear-t’s intrinsic nervous system, functioningof electric and electromagnetic com-munication networks, the position ofthe planets in the universe, the creationof new planets, etc.).Intervention in the balance of various bio-logical systems can be defined as fractal, and will be causal, and either preventive(for maintaining the necessary balance forthe body to function properly), or curati-ve (for restoring balance according to aparticular type of stimulation), in order toreact against the disease or pathologicalprocesses developing according to thesensory, functional and lesional stages.

This intervention requires a vector - amessage which must be extremely pre-cise and which has to reach ultrafinestructures in order to regulate the infi-nitesimal exchanges between the intra-and extracellular structures. This all hasto occur in hypophysiological doses.

It also has to be fully accepted by thebody, and must not be degraded or ne-cessitate elimination and detoxificationprocesses.

This stimulation should be repeated se-veral times, without triggering adapta-tion and rejection mechanisms.

The basis for this stimulation must meetmodern biochemical and mathematicalcriteria and must have a histopsycholo-gical and histopathological basis.

We should point out that all these cha-racteristics can be found in the holistichomeopathic therapeutic method, which uses the human body’s messages, the cytokines (protein molecules thathave recently been discovered).

In this case, however, the traditional ho-meopathic concept of “similars” is real

and highly restrictive, although it is ne-cessary as an opening line of argument. So, where can we find this starting point?

The start of a disease (primum movens)or the start of the expression of a sort ofimbalance by the body, corresponds toeach individual’s constitution or tem-perament. This starting point will deve-lop and be represented by the diathesis, being an attempt to rebalance thesystem at the precise moment the pa-tient is visited by a doctor.

This all represents the reactive and evol-ving entity undergoing constant changewhich we call disease. This is charac-terised by clinical symptoms which, when they are precise, characteristicand representative of the individual andthe whole of this pathological develop-ment, become signs.

However, this is all dependent upon ini-tial conditions and causal entity.

In order to restore good oscillation, thecorrect trajectory and optimal balance, the body needs to be stimulated. Thisstimulus will be homeopathic and, the-refore, diluted (law of infinitesimal sti-mulus) and dynamised (electromagne-tic potentisation, resonance). The cha-racter and choice of the remedy will bedetermined by the patient’s balance (orimbalance) position in comparison withall its immunological systems.

The clinical result, the real affinity of thestimulus, and the depth or superficialityof the treatment’s action, will be deter-mined by the choice of dilution.

The higher the dilution, the more infi-nitesimal the stimulus and the more itpenetrates the system’s vital organs and, therefore, allows for a more precise re-balancing of the imbalanced fractal.

In order to survive, to adapt to the va-rious circumstances that upset its ba-lance and maintain its individual struc-ture (chromosome input), the body de-finitely carries out this type of correc-tion. Therefore, the various biological

44

systems cohabit and collaborate in anextremely fragile and unstable balance.Any major upset to this state necessita-tes an equally significant reaction.

The fragile arrangement of the variousareas of influence must be rebalancedusing a strong action, which is also sup-pressive or substitutive, and one is the-refore fully justified in using an allopathictreatment specifically designed for thatpurpose. However, if the treatment is in-correct, the effects will be worse than theoriginal problem, creating a second im-balance, which, this time, is artificial.Alternatively, if the imbalance is slow, insidious, progressive and infinitesimal, the response must be the same (law offractal systems), and should therefore behomeopathic.

If we look at the physiopathology of theregulation of our neuroendocrine/im-munological system, it is now clear thatthere is one cell that plays a key part –a general regulatory role both as a mee-ting point for the various informationand as a starting point for subsequent in-formation. This cell is known as alymphocyte (taking into account all itssub-species as well).

The arriving and departing regulatorymessages are known as cytokines. Theroute used can be exocrine, endocrineor pancreas-mediated; this is establis-hed at the level of all the cells and usinga highly specific action, as the cytokinesare in infinitesimal doses (Kd = between10-10 and 10-20 molars for the receptorsof the cell membrane for the cytokines).

At this point the concepts become clea-rer and more concise, as there arepsychopathological similarities in ourfractal reasoning. The homeopathic rea-soning can also, in part, be explainedusing a fractal approach for the variousdiatheses, defined as an individual’smethod of expression, given to him bythe disease or by the character deve-lopment of the patient himself when fa-ced with a pathological imbalance.

The routes of a point along the curve

that represents the Mendelbrot set andthe Juliard set display, which corre-sponds to each position of that point, il-lustrates the extreme complexity of thissystem (FIGURES 1, 2).

The effect of the infinitesimal variationin the position of the point (variation inthe shape of the Juliard set) is, therefo-re, a type of lead wire in this complexnetwork. If the route of this point whichshows the route of our body on the ba-lance curve (the famous research intohealthy balance which is dear to our wi-se chinese ancestors) is slow, progres-sive and pseudosinusoidal, with the fre-quent and intermittent display of the sa-me Juliard sets, we will see the geome-tric display of psora which includes thefrequent return to primary balance, and, therefore, to initial conditions. Patientsmanage to compensate, they are in pha-se with their attractor. This is a body thatdefends itself well, oscillates well and isin phase (electromagnetic theory, theoryof acupuncture, EAV according to Voll, theory of indian and chinese behaviou-ral medicines, etc.).

The second possibility is that the pointfollows a slow, progressive route; de-pending on the level of variation in ourpoint, the Juliard sets are always di-verse, complex and growing and havean entirely unpredictable shape. Animbalance in this second system beco-mes increasingly evident. The attractoris increasingly difficult to achieve, asthe geometric image becomes compli-cated. Now we are entering into asycotic state; the deeper and morecomplex the state, the more difficult itis to remedy effectively. We moveaway from the initial stage with thecreation of a very different fixation po-le and a compensated pseudo-balancethat allows the system to manage thisstate of fact (Mendelbrot sets can befound in these complex and inextrica-ble structures).

The pathological stage is also close tothe initial stage, even from the graphpoint of view. The third possibility is an extremely ra-

45

SELECTED PAPERS FROM LA MEDICINA BIOLOGICA 1/2005

pid and unpredictable variation. Thepoint only moves slightly, and the Ju-liard sets are completely different. Thisgeometric structure where all the reco-veries of balance are sudden and un-predictable, appears to have a sort of tu-berculinic reaction, characterised by ra-pid changes in balance, but these areconstant returns to the initial position ofpartial balance.

Finally, the total anarchy of this geome-tric set, in the case of a variation in thestate of balance is a sign of the image ofthe luetic stage. There is no longer any-thing organised or rational. The geome-tric structures no longer make any sense.

However, over a fairly long period, theextremely precise graphic analysis ofthese chaos phenomena using spatial

mathematical research, highlights aMandelbrot set hidden at a given mo-ment. Rebalancing is, therefore, possi-ble, but dangerous, extremely difficultand above all, time-consuming.

It is also important to note that with thisbalance, the slightest stimulation orchange in external conditions can cau-se a catastrophe.

One only needs to examine the clinicaldevelopment of drug addicts or schi-zophrenic personalities to convinceoneself of the clinical reality of thesegeometric applications. This fractal vi-sualisation of the types of developmentof an imbalance can and must be sim-ple, particularly so that it encourages re-search into the rationality of the basicconcept.

The initial conditions of the system(symptoms, signs) will enable the mostappropriate medicine (stimulus appliedto the system examined) to be chosen

for rebalancing this stage (basal diathe-sis variation).

How should we choose a dilution thatwill represent the depth of action andprecision of this stimulus (rebalancingaccording the progressive growth of theMendelbrot set)?In a given pathology, we know that thebody responds in a fairly sinusoidalmanner to the ingestion of a product inhomeopathic dilution.

The principle of similitude only fulfilsthe initial part of the curve (the first pe-

riod) and then we no longer know whatcourse it will take (FIGURE 3).

As a result, our choice is limited and thedrug cannot be perfectly moulded toour needs. The starting point along thissinusoidal course is linked to the dia-thesic characteristic, that is the patien-t’s predisposition (FIGURE 4).

In order to choose the correct dilution, one needs to think rationally about asystem using a sinusoidal variation ofunknown origin which complies witha fractal system.

SELECTED PAPERS FROM LA MEDICINA BIOLOGICA 1/2005

In order to assess the starting point, the-re is a type of guiding line representedby each of our characteristic signs, andkey signs that characterise the remedy,as well as the appearance of the samesymptoms that represent the clinicalconfirmation of the basic hypothesis. From a chaotic state, the body starts toidentify a pseudo-balance of thosesystems that reach their own attractorsand, therefore, a given position in theMendelbrot set.

An effective homeopathic therapy is,therefore, a constant variation and ad-justment in time and space of the physi-cal and mental context (or vice versa).

The type of dilution is also another com-ponent with sinusoidal variant whoseeffect should be assessed and tested ineach patient, according to his develop-mental method.

There is nothing more complicated but,at the same time, more fascinating thanbeing on the verge of discovering thehidden method with which each of usenters into resonance with the most sub-tle changes of our body and our envi-ronment. This analysis is carried out si-multaneously in space and time, by cal-culating and assessing a permanent ad-justment in the countless effects of thestimulations.

The most complicated aspect we cur-rently know of, is ensuring the regula-tion of all the functions of our body; thisinvolves an interactive network oflymphocyte or cytokine (and other cells)messengers. This network, which isconstantly evolving, continually chan-ging in terms of quality and quantity andconstantly adapting, allows for a re-sponse to almost all efforts to find a bet-ter, more stable and more bearable ba-lance for the body in a given situation, via the integration and implementationof numerous deep and superficial, in-tracellular and intercellular or interor-ganic signals, via the blood or lymphsystem.

The blueprint for this state of reactivity

is the patient’s blood, reacting at theprecise moment of examination, underprecise psycho-physical conditions (an-xiety, fear, calm, etc.).

The cybernetic message travels along inthe blood, driven by the network ofcytokines, their inhibitors, their cyto-plasmatic receptors and any cell ele-ments.

In order to comply with the principle ofdependence on initial conditions and torebalance the body’s systems where ne-cessary, it would therefore seem logicalto use the patient’s blood as an evolvingstarter. In addition, the use of variouscytokines in homeopathic infinitesimaldilutions, would ensure that the bodygoes into resonance in a more lastingmanner, and would strengthen our pa-tient’s defences.

The aim of a set of brief but precise ac-tions at the time of treatment is tostrengthen the capacity of the treatment, and to activate the endocrine, neurolo-gical and immune defences.

This activation will be infinitesimal asthe balance will only be re-establishedif a stimulation identical to that whichhas caused the disorder is applied to theimbalanced system, thus adhering asclosely as possible to the evolving ini-tial conditions (constitution, diathesis).

In theory, therefore, we have once mo-re uncovered the need for a renewedhomeopathic concept, boosted by theuse of new treatment procedures.

The choice of cytokines – messengers ofthe interactive biological systems in pre-cise homeopathic doses – and the ac-curacy of this selection (physiologicalevaluation), enables the neuroendocri-ne-immune barrier and the energy bar-rier (which is derived from the dynami-sation type of the product used) to be re-moved in one fell swoop, using a me-thod that the body fully accepts (as it in-volves the use of its own components)and which has a natural and physiolo-gical action (use of the blood’s autolo-

gous interactive network), without trig-gering the body’s retrocontrol and sen-sitisation mechanisms.

THERAPEUTIC PROTOCOLS

In the following description of the va-rious protocols, the use of cytokines willbe described in detail; classical homo-toxicological support, drainage andconstitutional rebalancing therapy arenot covered in this article, but theyshould be taken into consideration.

A – PROTOCOL FOR AUTOIMMUNEDISEASES WITHOUT PRECISEPATHOLOGICALCHARACTERISATION

FIRST STAGE

In order to identify the immune conflictin question (clinical or paraclinical, testfor anti-tissue antibody positivity), areaction should be created in the body(to force the balance to return).

Start with:G.C.S.F. (Granulocyte Colony-Stimula-ting Factor) – between 5 and 10 drops, once, twice or 3 times a day accordingto the gravity of the reactive context.Treatment should still be gradual; don’tforget to keep a close eye on the pa-tient’s reactions.

Combination with other cytokinesshould be carried out as follows:– IL-1 acute episodes– IL-2 basic regulation– IL-4 extremely severe allergic reac-

tions– IL-6 serious aggression

Interferon Gamma is proven to be ef-fective against Hepatitis B and C.

The other cytokines should be used ac-cording to specific cases.

Always begin with the lowest availabledilution (4CH - 5CH) and increase the

48

SELECTED PAPERS FROM LA MEDICINA BIOLOGICA 1/2005

dilution according to the patient’s levelof response (homeopathic theory).

It is vital to prevent viral infections be-cause of the gravity of possible relapsesin this pathology.

We would suggest combining AntiageIM granules and Grippe Nosode Injeelfor immediate non-allopathic and ho-motoxicological symptomatic treatmentof inflammatory episodes and ORL in-fections.

SECOND STAGE

One should create and regulate tole-rance via the modulation of balances inthe general organic system, by admini-stering: organotherapic remedies orembryonic extracts according to the pa-thology.

The following organotherapies shouldbe prescribed to stimulate the lymphsystem:

– spleen – thymus– lymph system – tonsils– intestine – blood– colon – bone marrow

Low dilutions (Injeel) should be used. Ifonly a regulatory action is required, usethe single high dilutions.

In order to regularise the expression ofHLA histocompatibility antigens at thepathological site, the following shouldbe administered to immobilise theCD4s which secrete IFN Gamma andTNF Alpha:– IFN Gamma in dilutions lower than12CH– TNF Alpha in dilutions lower than12CHIn order to activate the CD4s that se-crete IL-4, one should administer:IL-4 in lower dilutions – 4CH or 7CH.

One should also regulate localised in-flammation using the most effective ofthe usual protocols (Arnica comp.-Heel® for example).

B – TREATMENT PROTOCOLFOR BACTERIAL DISEASES

PREVENTION

In order to block the expression of theCD4s which produce IL-4, administer:IL-4 in dilutions lower than 12CH.One should establish whether there isan autoimmune process underway, inconjunction with activation of thespleen (use Splen suis-Injeel) and an an-ti-sycotic action, which is vital in the ca-se of silicic diathesis. This enables us to block cell program-ming for the possible production of In-terferon Gamma and TNF Alpha.

EVIDENT DISEASE

One should activate the production of In-terferon Gamma in order to stimulate theactivity of the macrophages (destructive an-tibacterial action) using IFN Gamma 5CH.In order to boost the effect, it should becombined with:IL-4 in dilutions lower than 12CH andclassical anti-inflammatory homotoxi-cological protocol. In order to activate the complementsystem and encourage the secretion ofproteins that bind themselves to thebacterial membrane, the followingshould be administered:IL-6 5CH and Hepar suis-Injeel combi-ned with Lycopodium compositum. In order to activate the lymph system, one can use the scheme previously pro-posed alongside a well-aimed (EAV)therapy with nosodes.

C – TREATMENT PROTOCOLFOR ARTERIAL DEGENERATION(TREATMENT OF CLOTTINGMICRO- OR MACRO-PATHOLOGIES)

PREVENTION

One should act on lipid deposits, usingfor example:– diets and dietetic regimens

– general detoxification, specifically ofthe liver, kidneys and intestine

– specific protocols

In order to activate general immunity, one should prevent the lipid plates fromproducing autoantibodies and controlany existing viral disorders that createan imbalance. For basic immune stimulation treat-ment, you can refer to Protocol A.Specific treatment is aimed at fluidifyingthe blood and the biotherapeutic regu-lation of clotting.

Treatment:– Bothrops 15CH– Cornus sanguinaria D1– Antiage Circ granules– Antiage Ven granules

or with organotherapic remedies:– Arteria suis-Injeel– Splen suis-Injeel

It is also necessary to limit the prolife-ration of endothelial cells, deactivatethe HLA recognition system and controllocalised inflammation (regulate the se-cretion of the cytokines that are re-sponsible).

 Treatment:1) activate the autoimmune process

(see the previous protocol)2) the inflammatory mechanisms must

be regulated according to the gravityof the stage of the disease, using thefollowing in sequence:IL-1, IL-2 and IL-4.

D – PROTOCOL FOR BALANCINGTUMORAL PROCESSES

PREVENTION

Obvious in their simplicity but highly ef-fective suggestions:

– Healthy lifestyle, sensible use of phar-macological treatments.

– Constitutional and diathesic rebalan-cing using homeopathy.

49

CLEAR TUMORAL PROCESSNon-metastasized primitive tumour

This strategy has the following aims:1) contrasting the collateral effects of

allopathic treatments2) activating the immune defences and

the body’s reactive capacity

 Treatment:– GCSF 4CH– IL-6 5CH

Where necessary, other cytokines canalso be administered (according to theirphysiological role).

Metastasized secondary tumoralprocess

Strategy:1) activating the detoxification systems

(liver, kidneys, intestine)2) regulating clotting using biotherapies3) contrasting inflammation of meta-

stases and micro-metastasization4) preventing viral complications,

sources of aggravation to the immu-ne state

The basic therapy is as follows:– G.C.S.F. 4CH (general support)– IL-6 5CH (cytotoxicity)

The supplementary therapy is:– IL-1 in the case of acute complication– IFN Gamma– IL-2 for protection from “dysimmunity”– TNF Alpha, to boost the therapy.

The various combinations can, of co-urse, be decided according to the pa-tient’s development.

Advanced stage tumoral process

This is basically a support therapy.

The result will not have any effect onthe prognosis, but we obtain an impro-vement in general organic resistanceand a vital improvement in painfulsymptomatology.

CONCLUSION

All the clinical concepts, whether ho-meopathic or allopathic, agree on theneed to use these regulating messengersin infinitesimal doses (10-10 - 10-20 mo-lars), as receptors are certainly sensitiveto these dilutions and, cell action is the-refore guaranteed.

At the moment, the art of homeopathyneeds credibility, proof and statistics. Itis possible to work together towardscreating an integrated (both allopathicand homeopathic), structured, valid andabove all, useful project of research forall our patients.

The study outlined in this report is theresult of the exclusive clinical expe-rience of 200 patients studied over 3years.

Why shouldn’t we put into practice apluri-specialised multicentric study forassessing these efforts scientifically? Gi-ven that the interest of our patients is al-ways a priority, this should be an es-sential obligation but it is all too oftenforgotten.

Let’s look at the facts and results and startto become doctors who are working forthe good of our patients and trying tocombat their ills as effectively as possi-ble, using the best possible methods.Today’s homeopathy is a limitless thera-peutic system which can be adapted toany pathological case and which allows

us to restore balance to the entire interac-tive fractal system named body.

At the moment, we only have a set ofclinical situations which prove the effi-cacy of this type of stimulation. Howe-ver, all the clinical experience of nu-merous doctors is one step closer to be-coming a more tangible concept - a va-lid therapeutic system that, dependingon the type of patient, disease and cau-sal incidence can produce a healingand rebalancing action that can truly becalled “holistic”.
