Discuss some ideas they come up withEstablish purpose- In this book, a zookeeper has a problem after he closes the zoo. Let’s read and find out what happens in this story.Create urgency- We are learning today ways to solve math story problems so that we have strategies to solve any type of math problem. Explicit teacher modeling-Read the Story.When finished…turn to the page that shows all the characters in the bedroom while the zookeeper’s wife turns on the lights. Ask: How many feet are in the bedroom right now?
