What is WIPO World intellectual Property Organization.
According to their website they are “dedicated to developing a balanced and accessible international intellectual Property system, which rewards creativity, stimulates innovation and contributes to economic development while safeguarding the public interest.
Established in 1967 as one of the other 16 specialized agencies of the United Nations.
It mandates that all states which are members to oversee that intellectual property is maintained through collaboration. WIPO is run by the Director General Francis Gurry.
