EnOcean Gateway

The EnOcean gateway (Art. nr. ACC-ENO01) is con-nected to an RS232 interface on the myGEKKO. The gateway can be connected to either a free interface directly on the myGEKKO Touch or the interface distributor USB/quadruple RS232 (Art. nr. ACC-RS201). A maximum of 5 interfaces are avail-able on a myGEKKO Touch with distributor. To connect the gateway to an RS232 interface a RS232/RS485 converter (Art. nr. ACC-RS401) is required

Connection details

Baud rate The baud rate is to be set to 57600 on the EnOcean gateway, i.e. jumpers J1 and J2 are not set.

Jumper J3 is for setting the terminating resistor. This is set at the last gateway in the line.

2. Software activation on the myGEKKOGateway configurationLog in as configurator.

In the main settings change to IO configuration .1. The EnOcean gateway can be configured to the IO stations 5-8. For this, set the station to En-2. Ocean. Select the respective port and set the baud rate to 57600.Under ‘Configuration >>’ tap a free gateway and set the desired address. (each address must be 3. used only once – avoid duplicate addresses)Now press the S4 button on the EnOcean gateway for more than 1 second to read-in the current 4. ID nr. of the gateway. You can read it out from the ‘LRN-MESSAGE-ID’ field.

If the current address of the gateway is known you can change it via Change ID. (NEW ID is the new address)

Caution! For security reasons, the addresses of the EnOcean gateways cannot be changed more than 10 times.

To test the configuration you can use the buttons LED 5 ON/OFF to switch the Led5 on and off. The connection works properly, if the LED on the gateway switches on/off. Additionally, myGEKKO re-sponds with an ‘OK’ message.

Read-in of radio transmittersEach radio transmitter has a unique ID. This ID has to be taught-in by the gateway or entered manu-ally in the list of participants.

Entering participants manually:Usually, an 8-digit ID can be found on the backside of the radio transmitter. This ID can be entered in the list of participants of the myGEKKO. Therefore, go to the ‘TLNR’ menu of the gateway, press ‘Edit’ and set the participant number via ‘SET’. Press EDIT again to exit the edit mode. Now the gateway can communicate with the wireless transmitter.

Teach-in of participants:Press the S3 button for more than 1 second to start the read-in mode. Now, LED3 on the gateway is red and the LRN field on the myGEKKO orange. Confirm the programming/learn button on the wire-less transmitter (press push-button at push-button) and it will be taught-in automatically on the gate-way. Now you can control the newly taught-in ID of the wireless transmitter in the participants list of the myGEKKO.

After the teach-in the programming/learning mode needs to be deactivated. For this, press the S3 button on the gateway again for 1 second.

Caution! Only one radio transmitter must send when the gateway is in programming/learning mode.If multiple transmitters send simultaneously, all of them will be read in
