Criterion: Online faculty expectations protocol were collected from 20 institutions of higher learning located in the United States. Expectations from the lists were grouped according to three common fields:

Participants: A heterogeneous sample of 62 undergraduate students, having successfully completed a minimum of five online courses, was selected. Participants were not randomly selected given the investigation relied on the use of informed online learners.
