Meeting a Challenge
Problem:Printing materials and services not an allowable cost; school lacked sufficient funds to pay for printing
Solution:Use of existing technology Soliciting help from community partnersPlaced materials in media center
Sweet Success!
Accounts from teachers and parents verify that students are asking for more fresh fruits and vegetables at snack time.
Students who participated in the program are more knowledgeable about exotic fruits they see in grocery stores and are more likely to try new fruits/vegetables.
Thank You USDA!
