AF Technology (Adaptive Focus Technology) is a new, advanced means of managing audio data through two separate AD converters. The UA-3FX has one 32 Bit DSP chip and two 24-bit AD converters. The DSP chip acts as the brain, managing each AD converter, sending different audio information to each, to better replicate the original audio coming into the device. As a result, AF Technology can maintain the delicate nuance in quiet audio passages while maintaining the overall dynamic range of the sound.
