Explain.Do you believe the United States should be financially involved with either the Israelis or the Palestinians in their conflict? Explain. ? $6.8 Million each day $ 0.3 Million each day Financial Report 2007 $ 110 Million every year$3 Billion every year YOU PAY: About 27 times as much money goes to Israel $ 10 per year 0.37 cents per year Why the US Supports Israel Israel has a nuclear arsenal that is capable of reaching as far as the former Soviet Union. We sympathize with the Jewish people. We were the first country to recognize Israel after WWII. They are an ally in a region where we have few. They provide military bases in a high tension zone and provide battlefield testing for American weaponry. Israel has successfully prevented radical nationalists in neighboring countries. Israel's intelligence service has assisted the U.S. in intelligence gathering and covert operations. Why shouldnt we support Israel? Our support of Israel is weakening our security in the world by creating more enemies and is damaging our global image. The money could be used for other things, like humanitarian efforts or domestic programs. Our aid is directly responsible for a large portion of the barrier wall between Israel and Palestine. Our aid is going to weaponry which is being used against the local Palestinian people. Stop US financed Genocide in the Middle East Obamas Chance - Savior to the region?
