1. What did the Treaty of Ghent do?

• The Treaty of Ghent ended the War of 1812


2. What did President Jackson do about the National Bank?

• President Jackson took money out of the National Bank and put it other banks. He drove the National Bank out of business


3. What happened at the Alamo?

• The Mexican army attacked the Alamo and massacred the rebels there.


4. Why did workers go on strike?

• Workers went on strike to fight for higher wages and better working conditions.


5. What was the Second Great Awakening?

• The Second Great Awakening was a religious movement that relied on emotional sermons to awaken religious convictions. It stressed individual conversions to religion.
