ORIGINI DEL MARCHIOUrsus è l’eroe del romanzo “Quo Vadis?”, il gladiatore che affronta a mani nude un toro inferocito. Il nome e il primo logo della com-pagnia, raffigurante Ursus che afferra il toro per le corna, furono scelti per i valori di for-za, perseveranza e sacrificio che evocavano. Sulla scia delle grandi imprese del ciclismo italiano del secolo scorso, i fondatori rico-nobbero in Ursus l’eroe romantico tramite il quale rivivere le gesta di Coppi e Bartali, at-leti che scrissero pagine indelebili nella sto-ria del ciclismo mondiale. Il progetto Ursus wheels nasce nel 2002, con il fine di riporta-re il ciclismo italiano sulla vetta del mondo, seguendo le orme dei grandi del passato: stesso copione, nuovi interpreti.

Commemorating ten years in the market for bicycle wheels Ursus celebrates its roots re-membering the iconographic elements at the base of its history. The legendary Gladiator lives in the warlike champions equipped by Ursus. Hence, the campaign “Be a Gladiator”. The Ursus Team, a group of triathlon, road cycling, and cyclocross athletes, all hold the same desire and thirst for glory. Just like Ur-sus, every athlete aspires to achieve success through dedication to work, sacrifice and motivation.

Ursus ha deciso di celebrare questo passag-gio recuperando gli elementi iconografici alla base della sua storia. Il mitico Gladiatore rivi-ve trasfigurandosi nei muscoli e nelle anime battagliere dei Campioni equipaggiati Ursus. Nasce così la campagna “Be a Gladiator” e con essa l’Ursus Team, un gruppo formato da alfieri del Triathlon, del Cyclocross e del Ci-clismo su strada accumunati da un’unica ca-ratteristica condivisa: La sete di Gloria. Ogni atleta aspira a raggiungere il successo con dedizione al lavoro, sacrificio e motivazione proprio come il grande Ursus e l’azienda da lui rappresentata.

L’energia non si crea, ma da oltre 40 anni Ursus lavora per ottenere il massimo dalla sua trasformazione. Le ruote Ursus sono progettate e prodotte seguendo un continuo processo di ricerca del limite, per consentire al ciclista di utilizzare al meglio la potenza della propria pedalata ottenendo il minore dispendio energetico possibile, senza rinun-ciare mai a qualità e affidabilità.

Nel perseguimento della sua mission Ursus dà rilevanza all’esperienza diretta delle per-sone: seguendo le più severe norme euro-pee, tecnici qualificati valutano lo sviluppo dei prodotti in ogni sua fase, montando a mano i componenti ed eseguendo tutti i test necessari al fine di ottenere risultati di livel-lo eccellente. Le ruote vengono poi messe a disposizione di squadre professionistiche - tra cui il Team Farnese Vini Selle Italia - per le prove su strada che consentono un perfezionamento costante degli standard qualitativi, maturato nel corso delle tappe di Campionato Italiano e Mondiale (oltre a di-verse Classiche) nelle quali sono di rilevanza fondamentale i dati a cronometro e sull’affi-dabilità, ma anche i feedback ricevuti dagli atleti dopo ogni salita o volata.

Sistema secondo il quale nel mozzo vengono in-seriti quattro cuscinetti ad elevata scorrevolezza. Nella zona di trazione del mozzo posteriore a ri-dosso della cassetta si trovano due cuscinetti in linea che non permettono la flessione del perno. La riduzione dei giochi di lavoro elimina la disper-sione della potenza esercitata sulla ruota.

Sistema che ha consentito una perfetta tenuta alla trazione, torsione e taglio ottenendo un’ottima resi-stenza in un punto vulnerabile del cerchio. Il cerchio è progettato con una chiusura tramite raccordo in lega 50886 H34 e successivamente incollato me-diante iniezione di colle ad elevate caratteristiche strutturali, secondo il processo SCOTH WEID EPX.

Per ottenere questo obiettivo si è optato per un cerchio in carbonio tu-bolare; ne è nata una ruota estremamente leggera. La ruota permette ottimi rilanci e scatti anche nelle pendenze più elevate. Miura T24 monta una coppia mozzi URSUS in carbonio-alluminio con un ottimo equilibrio tra leggerezza e affidabilità. Le flangie del mozzo sono in AL 7075 forgiato. Gallardo mantiene intatte le caratteristiche tec-niche della Hybrida, con un design accattivante ottenuto dal cerchio verniciato bianco. Monta una coppia mozzi URSUS lavorati in CNC in alluminio AL 7075 forgiato molto leggeri e affidabili. Questi mozzi in alluminio sono la diretta espressione dei mozzi MG dove, montando cuscinetti con sfere in acciaio SKF over size di alta precisione, si è raggiunto una scorre-volezza che non ha pari. Gallardo è leggera, robusta e molto scorrevole. Il cerchio è in alluminio leggero, ma ha saputo superare i test eseguiti in laboratorio e le prove su strada compiute dalle squadre professioni-stiche. Si adatta perfettamente a tutti i circuiti.

Gallardo keeps intact the technical characteri-stics of Hybrida wheels set. An attractive origi-nal design is created by a white-painted rim with fashionable black and white stickers. Gallardo mounts a pair of AL 7075 CNC forged hubs which are very light and reliable. These hubs are a direct expression of MG hubs, with SKF™ over-sized hi-gh-precision bearings which help to achieve a very low rolling resistance. Gallardo is light, strong and very smooth. The rim is in light aluminum, but was able to overcome successfully several laboratory tests and road tests performed by professional te-ams. It fits perfectly to all kind of circuits.
