Current Information for Cannon Church
The Bishop and Cabinet have updated their guidelines on in-person worship. Cannon will be complying and there will be no onsite activities at least through June 22. Decisions will be made at that time for moving forward. You can see the entire document at: ngumc.org and click the link “Message from Bishop and Cabinet”.
To our congregation, community, family, and friends - we are praying for you.
Keep up with our online presence so you have information to participate in any events taking place! There are Sunday School classes meeting via Zoom, there is an online service every Sunday, there has been a Hymn Sing and Ice Cream Social online! The Prayer Bearers are hosting their own “Bear Hunt” - see Page 4 for details.
To keep connected with your Cannon family, watch the Cannon Facebook page, website, and emails. Interact as you can - let us know what you are doing. Submit photos for Faces of Cannon (see page 7 for details). “Share” and “Check-In” on social media are great ways to invite those in the community to join us. You can also share posts to keep others informed and interactive.
Be in prayer during this time. Continue to stay connected with each other and with us. If you have any pastoral care needs, please call the Church Office and go to ext. 6445. You can continue to contact staff through email and voicemail (there is an extension list at the back of this bulletin). To submit a Prayer Request or Praise, you can do so at cannonchurch.org, Care, Prayer Request.
There are events on the schedule that will need participants and volunteers! Be sure and sign up for these events so we will be ready to hit the ground running when things return to “normal”.
We are continuing to collect items for the Southeast Gwinnett Co-op. You can bring your donations to the bin at the Student Entrance (around the back of the building near the playground).
If you are “visiting” with us for online worship or events, we’d love to know. You can comment on the Facebook or YouTube feeds or email Jan at [email protected].
We thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and prayers. We look forward to the time in the near future when we will all be together again - in worship, in small groups, and for events at the church!

Cannon is showing the love of Christ in our community
Because of your generous giving to missions, Cannon has been able to send financial support to three local outreach missions in our communities: S.E. Gwinnett Co-op, Lilburn Co-op, and Lawrenceville Co-op. Also, thank you for the donations of food items and other much needed items that have been dropped off - both at Cannon and at the Co-ops. Please continue bringing in items and we'll make sure they are delivered to the Co-ops. You can bring donations to the bin located at the Student entrance at the back of the church.
Funds were also given to Helping Mamas so that they can purchase much needed items for families with infants and toddlers. They, in turn, send these items to many area organizations that help support these families.
Thank you so much Cannon family for helping us show the love of Christ to those who need it the most during this difficult time for so many.
God's Peace and love to each of you,
Beth Willis Chair of your Mission's and Outreach Team
We miss your faces at Cannon Church! We want to SEE you and need your help!
Send us a digital photo (you can submit more than one) of you/your family showing your faces. A simple photo. A funny photo. A photo representing what you are doing during this quarantine. We want to see the "Faces of Cannon".
We also want you to submit photos of what you are doing on Communion Sundays.
All of these photos will then be put together to be used during the online worship so you can see others in your church family on Sunday mornings. Names of adults will be included on these photos.
Please submit your digital photos as soon as possible to [email protected].

Your help is needed in accomplishing this! Volunteers are needed to make this all happen! Please prayerfully consider volunteering for VBS this year.
