Prerequisites:

• M.O.M 5.4, 6.2, or 7 with ASCM module (M.O.M. 7 screenshots will be used throughout this document)

• UPS WorldShip 12 If you are installing a Network version of Worldship 12.0, it is important to know the location that you chose for the UPS LAN Directory. This is where you will find the ImpExp folder & is the location that M.O.M. has to be set to when you are entering the location of the ImpExp folder. This is also the location when setting up the ODBC Visual Foxpro Setup in the path field.

• Visual FoxPro drivers listed in your 32‐Bit ODBC, System DSN screen. If the driver is not listed then you will need to download and install the file VFPODBC.MSI from http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en‐us/vfoxpro/bb190233.aspx Be sure to choose the selection for English Language as illustrated below:

Note: If you are running Multi‐company in M.O.M. with 1 shipping account, follow the “M.O.M. Setup” instructions for changing the settings of each company using UPS WorldShip.

Note: If you are using Windows 7 operating system, this is the only compatible UPS WorldShip version.

M.O.M. Setup 1. In M.O.M. go to Maintain > System Information > Global Parameters. 2. Click on the Shipping tab then click UPS Online Office & WorldShip then select ‘Settings’. Make

sure the directory for import/export file points to the \ImpExp folder where WorldShip is installed as in the picture below. Please keep in mind that the Network version needs to have the path \UPS\WSTD\SHARED\IMPEXP defined throughout rather than \UPS\WSTD\IMPEXP

3. Click on Close and then Save. Exit out of M.O.M.

4. Copy the file UPSIMP.DBF which is found in your MOMWIN folder to the \ImpExp folder where WorldShip is installed and rename it UPSWORLD.dbf.

Please Note:

• MOM 5.4 Users: The file will be named UPSWSHIP.dbf.

• XL USERS: The UPSIMP.dbf file will be created in your workstation folder (c:\momlocal6).

ODBC Setup 1. Go to your Start menu, Settings and click Control Panel.

2. Double‐Click the Data Sources ODBC Icon. (In Windows 2000 and Windows XP, the ODBC can be found in the Control Panel by first clicking on Administrative Tools.)

3. This will open the ODBC Data Source Administrator Window. Click the System DSN tab, then click the Add button.

4. Create New Data Source window appears:

5. Select Microsoft Visual FoxPro Driver and click Finish button.

7. Choose the Database Type “Free Table Directory.”

8. In the Path field, enter the path that was entered in the M.O.M. Setup section of this document.

UPS WorldShip Import Setup

1. In UPS WorldShip, click on Import/Export Data > Create/Edit Map and fill in the New Map section as shown below:

2. Click on the Create button and the Select an ODBC source screen appears:

3. Click on the UPS WorldShip ODBC source we created and click OK. The Edit ‘MOMimport’ import map screen will open. Highlight 51 pkg_ref5. Click on Define Primary Key for Import.

4. The next step will involve making connections between the ODBC Tables and the WorldShip Fields. On the ODBC Table side, select ‘1 void’ and on the WorldShip Fields highlight ‘1 Void Indicator’, then select the Connect button. Repeat this procedure to connect the fields.

Important: Refer to the Import Connections section of this document to make all the correct mapping connections. There are some fields that do not get connected and are designated with a ‘***NO CONNECTION***’

For example: In the ‘Shipment Information’ connections, you will not connect numbers 5 – Bill Transportation To, 6 – Bill Duty and Tax To, 7 – Split Duty and Tax, 8 – DDU, 9 ‐ DDP and 10 – Notify Before Del Option, to any field in the ‘Upsworld’ fields. For example, in the ‘Upsworld’ fields, number 4 ‐ return_op, is connected to number 23, Return Service Option in the ‘Shipment Information’ fields, number 5 ‐ return_typ, is connected to number 24, Return Service Type in the ‘Shipment Information’ fields and number 6 ‐ satdelop, is connected to number 29 ‐ Saturday Delivery Option. As seen below:

When all fields for the dropdown ‘Shipment Information’ of the WorldShip Fields are connected, then change the dropdown to ‘Ship To’ and repeat the process of connecting the associated fields. (Note: Although Ship To starts with #1, upsworld will continue where you left off with Shipment Information, at #27). Your screen should look like the one below. After the ‘Ship To’ fields have been mapped, select the ‘Package’ dropdown. Continue mapping fields for Package, in upsworld it begins at #43, also, although #51 is the “Defined Key” you will also make the connection using that field.

5. The OK button when finished. This will bring you back to the ‘Create or edit an import or export map’ screen.

UPS Worldship Export Setup

1. To create the export file. Fill in the New Map section like below:

3. Click on the ‘Package’ tab and highlight ‘6 Tracking Number’ and select ‘Add’. Repeat for Reference 4 and Reference 5. It should look like the following:

4. Next, click ‘Define CSV File Name’ and it must be saved as MOMEXPOR in the \ImpExp folder where WorldShip was installed. It should look like the following:

5. After selecting the ‘Save’ button you can select the OK button until you return to the main UPS screen. You are now ready to use UPS WorldShip with Mail Order Manager.

Additional Notes

• Each time you run the Shipping stage in Batch Order processing, any data in the upsworld.dbf file will be overwritten. It is recommended that when you creating the shipping information to import into Worldship, it is imported into Worldship before the Shipping stage in M.O.M is processed again.

• Only boxes that are exported from M.O.M will be imported into M.O.M with a tracking number.

• Tracking numbers are the only information imported into M.O.M from WorldShip. Changes made in WorldShip such as carrier, weight or additional fees are not imported back into M.O.M.

• Any orders that were shipped and the tracking number was imported into M.O.M will be sent to UPS a second time if the order is “reset”. An exception report will be printed in the Order Processing function of M.O.M alerting you to these orders. You will need to find the old shipment in UPS and void it. You can do so by finding the corresponding tracking number.

• WorldShip prints COD information on is own labels, therefore no COD tags need to be printed through M.O.M. To stop M.O.M from printing COD tags, go to Maintain – Shipping Information – Shipping Methods and in each UPS shipping method type, and change “COD Label/Form Type” to “Do Not Print Any Tags.”

Transferring to UPS WorldShip When you process orders in M.O.M., you need to run the Shipping stage so that the orders transfer over to UPS OnLine WorldShip.

1. After you click ‘Yes’ that the Shipping Manifest (whether you print one or not the message will appear) printed correctly, two messages will appear. Click OK on both.

2. Close out of Order Processing and go into UPS WorldShip.

3. In UPS Worldship we need to import the batch we created in M.O.M. by clicking on Import/Export Data > Batch Import. Select the MOMimport we created and click Next.

4. The next screen will show you the number of orders to import. Choose Next again. When the import is finished the Import/Export Preview screen will appear.

5. Choose Next. The Progress window will appear to show the records being imported.

6. When the Progress has been completed, the Import/Export Summary will appear. Choose Save.

7. The shipments that you transferred will show up in Imported Shipments. To view, click on the History icon.

8. You will need to verify all the shipments that were transferred by clicking on Activities > Edit/Reconcile Shipment for each shipment. Next, review the information and select from the lower right hand corner Process Shipment. (You can make changes to the shipment in this screen before clicking the Process Shipment button, but any changes made here will NOT make the same changes in M.O.M.) This will recalculate the charges so that they are correct and print the box label.

9. When it finishes processing click on Pickup Log button to return to the previous screen. The shipment you just edited will now appear in the ‘Weekday’s Pending Pickup’ as shown below:

10. This shipment can now be exported back to M.O.M. so it will import the tracking numbers for appropriate orders. To do so you will need to “End the day” in WorldShip.

Exporting to M.O.M. 1. Select Activities > End of Day. This will transfer the data to UPS. Next, click on Import/Export

Data > Batch Export. You will need to highlight the MOM Export that we created earlier.

2. Be sure to click on the ‘From’ and put in the correct date. (Choosing today’s date in the ‘From’ and ‘to’ fields will export the tracking numbers for today only. Choose Next. When finished the Import/Export Preview screen will appear.

3. Choose Next. The Progress window will appear to show the records being exported.

4. When the Progress has been completed, the Import/Export Summary will appear.

5. Choose Save.

6. To import the data back into your M.O.M. system. Return to the main M.O.M. screen.

7. Click on Order > Process Orders > Batch Order Processing and you can uncheck all of the processing stages.

8. Click the Import Shipping Data File button and check the Import Shipping Data from UPS WorldShip button as shown below:

9. Select the Close button, then click the Process button and the following prompt will indicate a successful import.

10. Click OK to complete the process.
