The agenda will be: Agenda Items: 1. Apologies & Welcome 2. Security/ID badges 3. Pro monitor and PAMS 4. How do you know how you are progressing 5. Give me your views on the classrooms 6. Do you use ‘It’s learning’ as a resource 7. Timetable issues 8. Functional skills 9. Enrichment – your views & ideas 10. Uniforms 11. AOB We can also discuss issues relating to the College which can be presented to the College Executive at the Principal Question Time on 13 th December on the Rochdale Campus. Transport will be provided. Strike Action 30 th November 2011 and Charity Fund Raising The proposed strike action scheduled for the 30 th November will not affect the UPS Department therefore it is business as usual, however it will be a non-uniform day and we ask the students to donate £1.00 towards our chosen charities also during the month of November several male members of UPS Staff will be growing moustaches for Cancer Research for Men and again we are asking students, family and friends to donate £1.00, the monies raised will be split up in to the three UPS charities Men’s Cancer Research, Children In Need and Help for Heroes. Waterproof Jackets and Fleeces. THEY ARE COMING! Please let me again apologise for the time it is taking to issue the students with their Waterproof Jackets and Fleeces. They are on their way the company who supplies us with these in the UK are still having problems with the overseas company that produces them.

Are you 18+ by March 2012?

If you are and interested in gaining a Door Supervisors Qualification and working at the

Olympics getting £8.50 per hour let Staff Morley know before finishing for the Christmas break

and if there are sufficient numbers Staff Tomlinson will be running a course Wednesday

afternoons.

College will be finishing on Friday 16th December for the Christmas Break and returning back on

Tuesday 3rd January. We will be holding a fancy dress and Christmas carol service at lunch time on the

Friday 16th with prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places.

UPS PAM Meetings:

The UPS PAM Staff Zoe Read will be setting up 1-1 meetings with all UPS students to discuss items such as

attendance, punctuality, academic progress, targets etc. These meetings are not voluntary and YOU WILL

TURN UP. Failure to do will be dealt with by Staff Morley
