Welcome to our youth hostels!

The Upper Austrian Youth Hostelling Association with its hostels in St. Gilgen, Mondsee, Bad Ischl and Linz is part of Hostelling International, the world´s largest non-profit network of hostels. Since the foundation of the youth ho-stelling federation 100 years ago the idea of a peaceful get- together of young people from all over the world has not lost its actuality.

We want to enable our guests to get to know the land-scape and the cultural characteristics of Upper Austria and promote the understanding between nations and ge-nerations. In our youth hostels we offer guaranteed and good quality at low prices.

In our hostels every room has its own shower and toilet. You can choose between single and more bedded rooms and between breakfast, half- and full board. Beside an ex-tensive offer of sport and cultural activities in the region and adventures in the nature our hostels offer a modern equipment, beautiful gardens and common rooms for groups.

It doesn´t matter what you plan – school activities, group journeys, meetings or simply holidays for the whole fami-ly – we have the right hostel. And of course, there is no age limit.

We try to manage our hostels ecologically, sustainably and hospitably.

Controlled quality: The hostels of St. Gilgen, Mondsee, Bad Ischl and Linz have got a certificate of quality by Ho-stelling International.

Open for everyone: The youth hostels of Mondsee, Bad Ischl and Linz are wheelchair accessible.

Allergy or food intolerance? No problem! Let us know and we will keep it in mind.

No Smoking: All our hostels are non-smoking hostels.

Membership:

The Upper Austrian Youth Hostelling Association is a non-profit organisation, member of the IYHF and part of the world’s largest network of hostels.

For a stay in one of Upper Austria´s hostels or in one of the 4.000 hostels worldwide you need a hostelling mem-bership card.

If you live in Austria you can order the card online or buy it at the reception. In other cases please contact your na-tional Hostelling Association.

Our hostel:Situated at lake Wolfgangsee, next to the beach, this house is a paradise for watersports fans. Moreover, the unique lake and mountain scenery offers a wide range of leasuretime activities for all age groups.

Facilities:40 rooms, all recently renovated and with private shower and toilet. You can choose bet-ween single-, two- or more-bedded rooms.

Common rooms with TV, seminar rooms with technical equipment, a rustic cellar for group evenings, table soccer, table tennis, garden with benches, WIFI in the lobby, board games rental, sauna during winter, heated ski depot, parking Meals:Breakfast buffet is included. You can also order in advance half- and full board as well as vegetarian meals or packed lunch.

Region:Sports, nature, culture and watersports at the lake – the holiday region Wolfgangsee offers the full holiday fun-package.

Leasuretime activities:

Sports: swimming, surfing, sailing, water-skiing, rowing, diving, bump-riding, para-sailing, boat trips, tennis, mountainbiking, hiking, climbing, minigolf

Wintersports: skiing areas for beginners and advanced skiers: Postalm, Faistenau, Gaissau-Hintersee, cross-country-skiing in Abersee

Our hostel:Situated in the heart of the picturesque small town of Mondsee, the modern hostel is only a short walk away from the crystal-clear water of Lake Mondsee. Individual service and a homely atmosphere as well as the excellent cuisine and various leasuretime activities will make your stay in Mondsee a great experience.
