WARNING
• The Uponor Control System uses a 230VAC 50Hz power supply.
• In case of emergency, immediately disconnect the plug from the 230V mains.
• Do not use water to clean the Uponor Control System.
• Do not expose the Uponor Control System to flammable vapors or gases.
The Uponor Control System uses radio waves. The frequency used is reserved for similar applications and the chances of interference from other radio sources is very low. However, in some rare special cases, it may not be possible to establish a perfect communication. The transmission range is sufficient for most applications, but each building has different obstacles affecting communication and maximum transmission distance. If communication trouble exists, Uponor can support the system with accessories, such as repeaters, for solving the exceptional problems.
• Keep installation/data cables away from power cables > 50V to avoid interference.
• The electrical circuits of the boiler and the pump must be protected by a maximum 6A circuit-breaker.

3.1 Installation of Interface I-75 with Controller C-55
Adding an interface to an old system:One controller:Connect interface: see "3.3 The interface", page 8.
Several controllers:An H/C relay must not be connected to more than one controller: see "3.2.2 Heating / cooling relay", page 7.
Make sure that the wiring of pump relays is correct. A pump common to all controllers must not be connected to more than one: see "3.2.3 Circulation pump relay", page 7.
Wire between the controllers: see "3.2.1 Installation of additional controllers", page 6.
Register and mount the thermostat for the outdoor sensor: see "3.2.4 Installation of outdoor sensor", page 8.
Connect the interface: see "3.3 The interface", page 8.
Make the interface settings: see "3.4 Interface setup", page 11.
Finish the installation: see "3.5 Finishing the installation", page 13. Compare the thermostat information in the old installation reports with the information in the interface. Transfer the old information to the installation report.
3.2 Connections
3.2.1 Installation of additional controllers
Additional controllers
• For an installation with more than one manifold or more than 12 channels, install additional controllers (up to 3).
• One single interface drives all the controllers.
• Each controller must be fitted with an antenna.
Connections between controllers:
• Controller #1 is the controller connected to the interface.
• Connect terminal 5 respectively 6 of controller #2 to terminal 5 respectively 6 of controller #1.
• Connect terminal 7 respectively 8 of controller #3 to terminal 7 respectively 8 of controller #1 or controller #2.

3.2.2 Heating / cooling relay
To switch the system to Cooling mode, close the contact between terminals 11 and 12 of the controller
(symbol ).
For installations with several controllers, carry out this operation on one controller only.
■ When the contact of the relay is open, the system is in heating mode.
■ When the contact of the relay is closed, the system is in cooling mode.
3.2.3 Circulation pump relay
The Uponor Control System will operate a circulation pump on a call when heating or cooling are needed. A pump connected to the pump relay will stop when there is no call for heat (or cooling while in Cooling mode).A pump common for all manifolds/controllers can be connected to the closest controller. If separate pumps are used for each manifold, each pump can be connected to and run by its own controller. To configure the system for Individual or Common pump management: see "3.4.4 Setting the pump management", page 12.
For a system with several controllers:
STOP
The heating / cooling contact operates with the connection via a Dry contact switch. Do not apply voltage to the heating / cooling contact. Damage to the Uponor Control System will occur.
See: controller Installation Manual, page 9.
Common pump Individual pumps
ATTENTIONSee the circulation pump supplier documentation before performing the connection.
