Uploading your Podacst file to your blog.

1. Save your podcast on your flash drive as an MP3 file. 2. Create an account with GCast (www.gcast.com).

3. Click on “Upload New Audio Files”

4. Title your podcast, and upload as you would attach a file to an email. a. You can describe your podcast here as well. b. Keep the button selected that reads “Automatically publish to:” c. When you are finished, click “I agree, upload this file”. It may take a

few seconds to load; be patient.d. Once you are finished, click “podcasting home” on the left hand bar.

5. Once you are at the home page, locate your podcast on the right hand side (note: your podcast might not show up for several minutes after you upload – it has to be validated). Click on the “XML” button next to the name of your podcast.

a. You may need to enable popups to complete this step – it works the same way as if you are trying to download a file from WebCT.

6. Copy the link in the window by right-clicking on your mouse and selecting “copy”. Mac users can use the command apple+c.

7. Open up Wordpress, but don’t close GCast.

8. Click “Design” and then “Widgets:

9. Find the “RSS” Widget, and click “Add”

Click “Add”

10. In the right hand column, the RSS widget will show up. Select “Save Changes”. Then click “edit” to add your link from GCast.

a. If you don’t have a link to paste, go back to your GCast page and follow directions 5 & 6.

11. When you click on “edit”, paste your link from GCast by right-clicking in the box that says “enter RSS Feed URL here” and selecting “Paste”.

12. View your feed. You should get a little box in the corner with an orange icon.
