Uploading a Video to YouTube

Access the YouTube website at http://youtube.com

If you do not already have an account, click on Create an Account.

Enter the requested account information on the form.

Once you have created your account. Sign in to YouTube.

To upload a video click on Upload.

You can upload a single video or multiple videos from your computer. You also have the option to record video directly from your webcam.

To upload a single video, click on the option to Select files from your computer.

You will get a browser option to search your local computer for the video to be uploaded. Select your video and click on Open.

You will get a new window that will show the progress of your upload.

Once the video is uploaded you can give it a meaningful title, description and tags for searching. You should set the Privacy and publish setting to be Unlisted (anyone with the link can view) to prevent anonymous searching and location of your video. Once you have updated all of the information click on Save. The changes autosave but if the button is blue click on Save.

To obtain the URL to your uploaded video click on the Share button.

You will get a window that displays the video URL.
