F2020 Employee Volunteer Grant Program (EVP) – UPDATES

• 20 hours of volunteer time to reach maximum funding for charitable partner(s) of $500

o $25 / hour (CAD, USD, EUR, GBP, AUD)

• Track volunteer hours with any federally registered charity or equivalent in global communities and generate grant rewards (Donation Currency)

o Donation Currency ‘earned’ will be deposited into the employee’s My Rewards account in myCommunity

o Every hour counts – track your volunteer time as it happens

• My Rewards account balance can be donated to the employee’s charity of choice (within RBC funding guidelines)

o You can donate your time to one organization by your grant to another!

How to apply for your Employee Volunteer Program Rewards

Step 1: Login to myCommunity is open year round.

With single sign-in myCommunity can also be accessed from RBC mobile

When you have logged in to myCommunity from the page dashboard select:

• Volunteer

• Track Volunteer Time

Make sure you have the contact details for your volunteer manager or the coordinator of the program you support to include in theapplication!

Tell us who you volunteered with by attaching your cause! andwho can confirm it! This is important if we have follow upquestions for your charity partner.

Tell us how many hours you volunteered.

This lets us know what to add to your reward account ($25 an hour).

Remember: every hour counts so you can track your hours once a month, once a quarter or after every volunteer activity. They all add up to your max allocation of $500 a year for your 20 hours.

Donation Currency ‘earned’ will be deposited into the employee’s My Rewards account in myCommunity

Remember: you volunteer hours must be tracking in the same program year they were completed in. So if you have 2019 hours they cannot be tracked to your 2020 totals.

Tell us what skills you use at your volunteer activities.

You must select one or more of these skills.

You can also tell us your volunteer interests – optional!

This helps the system learn what it could highlight for you!

Select that you would like to have your donation Currency ‘earned’ deposited into your My Rewards account in myCommunity.

If you have hit your max for the year select No Reward as the system will not be able to issue these for you.

Step 6

Tell us in your words what you do as your volunteer activity with the organization!

Then click:

Submit Rewards

Step 7

You will now see the total amount of Donation Currency and that it is automatically approved.

Back to your Dashboard, you can see your total available Rewards under Giving Account.

Enter the name of your chosen charity (within RBC funding guidelines) in the Search box on your Dashboard.

Click on the Donate Now button next to your charity.

Enter the amount you would like to donate.

Select One-time under Donation Frequency.

Select Giving Account Balance under Payment Method and then My Rewards.

Please make sure to double check the donation information before youconfirm.
