Due to the fact that we had changed our movie plans, we had also decided, as a group, to change the original

concepts for the costumes and designs for the characters playing in our opening title sequence.

THE CAMPERS

We decided to follow the norm and ideal image of a camper to dress our characters as. We spent a period of time researching and looking at photos of campers. We also went around and asked people who went camping regularly what they recommended to wear and what necessities were most important. Here are a few images of what we looked at for inspiration and what our main goal was.

The cast was required to keep everything designer to a minimum (no Paul's Boutique or Prada or any similar clothes that you were less likely to see being worn in a camping environment).Also, if females were to wear makeup they were required to keep it to a minimal amount, to make it seem more realistic (No red lipstick or false eyelashes)

PSYCHO

We decided that it'd be best to keep the psycho (played by Jordan Landu,who is also the detective) in the same apparel. By doing this, we are allowing the audience to know that the detective is in fact also the psycho murderer. Our original plan was to dress up the psycho in very rough and ragged clothing however, we felt it was much more logical to dress him up in a casual manner. Since we gave him one outfit, we decided that it would be his signature outfit throughout the opening sequence.

We focused on making him wear clothes that came from standard, ‘bland’ brands such as; Gap, H&M, and Marks and Spencer's.We also chose to stick to one colour scheme, which cosisted mainly of blacks, dark blues and dark greens – we felt like the more dark colours used, the more serious the opening sequence would be. We avoided graphic tees as we thought that the psycho would not be taken seriously if he was covered in too many colours and designs.

For the detectives at the end, we decided to dress them up in casual clothing, something comfortable, something they’d wear at home. We had to take in mind that the detectives were of a young age (aged mid 20s) Therefore, we did not want to over do it by having them wear suits and ties. We did this because their scene took place at the home of one of the detectives (the female detective played by Iman Mouloudi). We also asked the detectives to wear their own clothes from home, what ever they felt comfortable wearing.

THE DETECTIVES

Here are a few examples of what types of clothing we were going for + a few ‘inspirational’ pictures;

Considering the fact that the Psycho is infact, one of the detectives, we decided (as we said in the previous slides) that we were going to keep the same outfit throughout the whole film.
