September 13—November 8

How was your first week in Hebrews with your eyes focused on Jesus? Hopefully you

focusing on the supremacy of Jesus Christ through your daily readings in the

“Hebrews: Eyes on Me” Study Guide. Next week we will learn the expectation and God-given power that transforms us to “Mature and Bear Fruit.” God’s vision for the believer is so much more

life and joy than complacency can ever provide. Check out our online resources at www.ubcfortworth.org!

Saturday, October 17 4:00-7:00pm Mainstay Farm Family Picnic

Every week our worship guide includes a

section titled What We Believe. These are

statements of fact to those of us who as

Christians know our Heavenly Father,

Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Beyond

these absolutes, there are core values that

define University Baptist Church. These

are the values which are UBC’s highest

priorities and dictate our behavior as a

body of believers.

On two Sundays, September 20 and

September 27, a list of core values will be

distributed in all middle school through

adult Bible Study classes and at the

worship service. You may also print copies

from the attachment to the September 21

e-newsletter. All of the items listed on the

Core Values form are important, but which

are the ones that you most value in the

church life of UBC? Those that rise to the

top of the count will be the ones that

guide us in determining our specific

mission and in explaining our church to

future ministerial candidates.

Prayerfully consider the listed core values

then place a check by your top five. You

will note there is space at the end of the

list to add any core value you feel has not

been listed but should be considered as

one of UBC’s top five. Your thoughts on

these values are extremely important.

The Core Values form will be collected on

September 27. There will be a time to

submit them at the worship service, or

they may be placed in the designated box

located in the main office, or they may be

mailed to UBC (in care of ‘UBC Transition

Team’) by September 25, 2015.

Thank you for setting aside time to pray

for our church as we move forward in the

Intentional Interim process.

Sincerely,

Risa Payne, Chair

Transition Team
