Our goals are simple: REALTOR.com® wants to be the best consumer real estate destination on all platforms, including mobile and the web.

Over the coming weeks and months, we’re going to be trying a variety of new things on REALTOR.com® - all designed to simplify our site and make it easier to use.

It all starts with what consumers want, and they told us they wanted a site that was simpler, easier to navigate, and easier to use.

So that’s what we’re setting out to do – we’ll be trying and testing new things as part of an iterative process; much of what we’re testing will be done in phases and increments, and we’re going to be keeping a close watch on what works and what doesn’t. We’re doing this to ensure that our products and services always delight our consumers, and deliver for our customers and partners.

And it’s all starting with our homepage.

It’s important that we do this.

REALTOR.com® is synonymous with REALTORS®, and as we strengthen our site and our engagement, we also strengthen the REALTOR® brand and how consumers perceive and engage with REALTORS®.

And as our audience grows, it allows us to increase the share of voice for brokers and agents connecting them with more buyers and sellers, and building their brand exposure.

Our process will be gradual; initially only a small set of our users will see the enhancements.

A couple months ago, we brought some powerful new upgrades to the suite of REALTOR.com® mobile apps for Apple iOS devices, and now, we’re bringing a robust new set of features to the REALTOR.com® app for Android.

Here are some of the exciting new features for consumers:

• Redesigned Home Screen. The home screen has been totally redesigned with a tiled layout that’s more intuitive and lets consumers get to what they need faster with speedy one-touch search.

• Search SOLD Listings. Available FRESH from the MLS in 80 markets nationwide (and growing), the REALTOR.com® Android app now delivers consumers REAL sold listings in their market.

• Search Foreclosures and Price Reduced Listings. The REALTOR.com® Android app already had the best data, and now, it has even more powerful search tools. In addition to SOLD listings, consumers can now search Foreclosures and Price Reductions with the app.

Here’s what’s new for agents:

•HyperSocial™AgentProfiles.HyperSocial™ integration is now part of the REALTOR.com® Android app, and now, consumers can see exactly how they’re connected to an agent through their mutual social graphs. Janet from the coffee shop a mutual friend? Consumers will see it right on an agent’s profile, and this intersection of mutual friends can help build relationships before the first conversation takes place. Plus, HyperSocial™ tools let agents display recommendations from satisfied clients, so not only will consumers know exactly how they’re connected to an agent, they’ll also see what a great job the agent does.
