    Harry S. Truman Library Research Grant April 1, 2017 Research Grants of up to $2,500 are awarded twice annually to offset the cost of conducting research at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum.

    Association of Centers for the Study of Congress Awards

    Richard A. Baker Graduate Student Travel Grant April 1, 2017 Support for graduate-level research conducted at member repositories of the ACSC. Primary consideration given to projects involving the substantive study of issues related to the study of Congress.

    CPR Pre-Conference Scholarship May 1, 2017 Financial assistance to attend the CPR pre-conference meeting at the American Archivists Annual Meeting.

    Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey Fellowships April 7, 2017; October 6, 2017 Fellowships for international PhD students to pursue their research in Turkey. The program aims to promote Turkey’s scientific and technological collaboration with countries of the prospective researchers.

    American Jewish Historical Society

    Sid and Ruth Lapidus Fellowship April 20, 2017 Supports one or more researcher(s) wishing to use the collections of the American Jewish Historical Society. Preference is given to researchers interested in 17th and 18th century American Jewish history.

    Ruth B. Fein Prize April 20, 2017 A travel stipend established in honor of a past president of the Society, to a graduate student to help undertake research at the American Jewish Historical Society. The award is up to $1,000.


    Tampa Bay Seminole Club Graduate Student Scholarship April 30, 2017 (anticipated) It is the goal of the Tampa Bay Seminole club to continue our commitment towards further building a pipeline between Hillsborough and Pasco county high schools and Florida State University. Candidates must be a graduate of a Hillsborough or Pasco county high school and have proof of acceptance into a graduate program at FSU or graduate coursework completed.

    The Wenner-Gren Foundation Dissertation Fieldwork Grants May 1, 2017 Awarded to aid doctoral or thesis research. The program contributes to the Foundation’s overall mission to support basic research in anthropology and to ensure that the discipline continues to provide significant work that furthers our understanding of humanity’s cultural and biological origins, development, and variation.

    Rockefeller Foundation—Bellagio Center Fellowships in the Creative Arts May 1, 2017 The Academic Writing residency is for university and think tank-based academics, researchers, professors, and scientists working in any discipline. Successful applicants will demonstrate decades of significant professional contributions to their field or show evidence of being on a strong upward trajectory.

    Society for Male Reproduction and Urology Traveling Scholars Award Program May 4, 2017 (anticipated) The objective of this award is to provide an opportunity for trainees to learn more about the field of male infertility by attending educational activities at the annual meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

    Society for the History of Technology Travel Grant May 10, 2017 (anticipated) Designed to defray some costs associated with attending the SHOT conference the grant is open to individuals giving a paper at the annual meeting. The reviewing committee prioritizes scholars whose presentations address women, gender, race, ethnicity, and/or difference in the history of technology. Women, minorities, international scholars, and those who are new to SHOT, are particularly encouraged to apply.

    Fulbright—Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad Program May 14, 2017 Funds for individual doctoral students who conduct research in other countries, in modern foreign languages and area studies for periods of six to 12 months.

    The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History Fellowship May 15, 2017 Fellows may conduct research within the archival holdings of any institution located in the five boroughs of New York City.

    Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD) Grant May 15, 2017 (anticipated) Short-term research grants to provide researchers with a fruitful stay in Portugal, supplying them with the required means to develop their work, and providing for their travelling and accommodation expenses.

    Joan Nelson Study Abroad Scholarship Assists members who are going to participate in a study abroad program.

    American Institute of Indian Studies Junior Research Fellowships July 1, 2017 Research fellowships to enable doctoral candidates to pursue their dissertation research in India.

    Wolf Trap Internships July 1, 2017 Spring, Summer, and Fall internships available to foster the next generation of arts leaders. 12-week program with flexible start and end dates in Washington, DC.

    National Museum of the American Indian Internship Program July 12, 2017 Internships are provided for students interested in the museum profession and related fields. Locations are in Maryland, Washington D.C. or New York for a duration of 10 weeks.

    Americans for the Arts—Internship Opportunities July 17, 2017 The Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to investigate and participate in the operations of the nation’s leading nonprofit for advancing the arts in America. Fall, Winter/ Spring, and Summer Internships are available.

    Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Student Travel Awards Deadline: Seven months before the first day of the conference for which support is requested. Travel awards to help students attend and present at SIAM conferences.

    Institute for Humane Studies Conference and Research Grant Deadline: Rolling, at least four weeks before activity for which you are seeking funding Grants awarded to graduate students advancing the principles of freedom through their career to present at academic or professional conferences, travel to academic job interviews on a campus or at a conference, travel to archives or libraries for research, and participate in career-development seminars.
