UPCOMING EVENTS AT THE CREEK Church News • Advent Conspiracy—Will you join the conspiracy, with other believers, to resist what presses in on us during the Advent Season? There is a better way to celebrate the Christ- mas story. A way that invites us to worship fully, spend less, give more, and love all. Don’t miss it again this year—God coming to us in Jesus, bringing hope and peace. • Come see Camel Lot! Tonight our CreeKidz Ministry will be performing Camel Lot at 7:00 PM at The Pointe. Join us on a delightful journey to the manger….on camel! It’s filled with music the kids love singing, a great story line, and the clear, simple message of Jesus the Savior, sent to our world to redeem sinful humanity. Please come out and enjoy this special treat. • If you have not already done so, please clean and return your NIB costume soon. You may return them to the fellowship hall. Primetimer’s Ministry • Bible Study: Our next study begins on January 7 and we will begin a new topic! Every- one is welcome and we encourage you to invite a friend! • Join us for fellowship and getting to know one another as we have a big birthday bash at Western Sizzlin on Tuesday, January 14 th at 4:30 PM. Early bird specials end at 5. If you bowl, you may also join us for bowling at 2:30 PM at AMF Lanes. • Sign-up in the Senior IC for the Jason Petty concert on Thursday, February 13 th at the Temple Theater in Sanford. Group tickets are $24 each. Depart SCC at 11:20 AM. CreeKidz Events • Power Planet FX– Join us Sunday, January 12th as we kick off a new year with a Power Planet Family Experience. We hope you’ll grab the kids and come join us for food, fun and worship. It all starts at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. • High 5 Road Trip– Coming Friday, January 10th: All 5th graders are invited to join Pastor Joey and leaders for a special road trip to Raleigh. We will meet at the church at 6:15 PM and leave at 6:30 PM as we head to Galaxy of Fun. There’ll be go-carts, laser tag, rope course, etc. Cost is $20. Eat before you come to the church. Release forms (available online) and money can be brought the night of the event. We should return ap- proximately 11:30 PM. • Annual Spring Fling will be March 7, 2020—Now is a perfect time to clean out your closets, attic, and garages and donate your gently used items for the annual Spring Fling. The storage units will be arriving in January so be on the lookout soon. Emerge Ministry • Passion Conference 2020- The bus will depart on December 31st at 7:30 am. Please be on time! • If you are interested in the Hollywood Mission Trip (July 5th-11th, 2020) please pay your first deposit of $250 by January 5, 2020. You must be 14 years old by July 2020 to attend. • Emerge will have their first worship night of 2020 on January 5th. All middle school and high school and 18-25 year olds are invited to come and join us. 2020 is going to be a great year!
