QUICK GUIDE 1. TO SET UP PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL (BASED ON PERFORMANCE
FACTORS ONLY) 2. TO DO A PRINT SCREEN FOR THE EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL
1. Go to HR Functions Setting System Configuration
2. Change the settings as per following and click on the “Close” button.

3. Set the appraisal criterion in the Performance Factors.
Go to HR Functions SettingPerformance Factor
4. To create a new template, click on “Template Manager”.

To add template, click on “Add Template”.
5. Give a description to the new template to help you differentiate between the various templates. Click on Save after completion.
6. To copy the performance factors from one template to another, click on “Copy Performance Factor”.

7. Select the “Source” and “Destination Template” and the criterion to be copied under the Source Template and click “Copy” to start the process.
The copied criterion will be populated to the right column, under the Destination Template. You need to click on the “Save Template” to save the criterion in the newly created template.

8. Go to HR Functions Setting Point Distribution
9. Click on Add Point Distribution Template.
10. Name the Template as “Performance Factor”. Input “100%” under Supervisor (Performance Factors/Supervisor Appraisal) and click on “Add”.

11. Proceed to set‐up of the company’s departments and job designation
a. Go to HR Functions OrganisationDepartment
To create a new department, click on “Add Department”.
Input the “Department” and click on “Save” after completion.
b. Go to HR Functions OrganisationJob Family

To create a new job family, click on “Add Job Family”
Input the “Job Family” and click on Save. If you do not have a Job Family, Key in “NA” as the Job Family.
c. Go to HR Functions OrganisationJob Grade
To create a new Job Grade, click on “Add Job Grade”.

Input the “Job Grade” and click on “Save”. If you do not have a Job Grade, Key in “NA” as the Job Grade.
d. Go to HR Functions OrganisationJob Designation
To create a new job designation, click on “Add Job Designation”.

Input the Job Designation, Job Grade and Job Family. Click on Save after completion.
12. Create the Employee Records and login information
HR Functions EmployeeEmployee Records
Click “Add Employee” and begin adding the required information especially those denoted with a red asterisk.

The first tab is for the basic Employee’s details. Input the name and NRIC of the employee. Click on “Next” button.
Input the “Staff ID” and “Password” in the login tab. Password is case‐sensitive. Click on “Next”.

Input the “Department”, “Designation”, “Email” and “Supervisor”. Click on “Save” after completion.
13. Create the Appraisal Go to HR Functions Appraisal
Click on “Create Appraisal” to create a new appraisal.

Click on “Add” to add the Employee.
Select the Employee to add and click on “Choose selected”. You can filter down the selection list either by Job Title, Job Family or Department.

Select the appropriate Template. Enter the Appraisal Year or Project Name (for Project‐based appraisal). Click on the “Create” button.
14. Appraisal has been created with the status as “Pending for Performance Review”.
Double click on the record to open the appraisal form.
15. Click on “Print Preview” at the top left corner of the page.
Click on to proceed.

16. The appraisal form will be generated.
To print in hardcopy, click on “Print Report” at the top left corner.
To export to Microsoft Excel (.xls), Microsoft Word (.doc) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf), click on
“Export Report” on the top left corner.

17. Perform steps 13 ‐ 17 to do a print screen for the rest of the employees.
