PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:

Planning Commission recommends that UP-12-12 be APPROVED with a cooperative parking agreement. (9-0; Van Laethem/Small)

Mrs. Hanson read UP-12-12 into the record for Commission review and action.

Staff Presentation:

Mrs. Hanson stated that based on sound planning practices, Planning staff recommended UP-12-12 be APPROVED with the request for a cooperative parking agreement as listed in the official agenda.

Proponent:

Dr. Shawn Eure-Hill, Applicant, 112 Grant Street, Chesapeake, Virginia, appeared before the Commission on behalf of UP-12-12 representing Kujichagulia Academy.

Phyllis Williams, 1750 Atlantic Avenue, Chesapeake, Virginia, appeared before the Commission on behalf of UP-12-12 representing Kujichagulia Academy.

COMMISSION VOTE:

Commissioner Van Laethem moved that UP-12-12 be APPROVED with the request for a cooperative parking agreement as listed in the official agenda and as recommended by staff. Commissioner Small seconded the motion. The motion was carried by a vote of 9-0.
