The purpose of this project was to develop

an interactive tool that would help people

achieve some end result. We had to develop

our idea as precisely as possible to target

different personas that we created.

In addition, the tool had to be user friendly

and well designed. Our professor assigned

us a subject in which we had to conduct

research and better a process. The subject

“travel” was assigned to me.

Assignment

After brainstorming and doing further research, I decided to do a

diagram of most of the forms of transportations available for travel.

Since I experience anxiety when I travel and I have travel to many cities

within the pass ten years, I decided to come up with a gadget or tool

that people could use to relax while travelling. After further research and

brainstorming the idea of a tablet came to mind. Since we are already so

overwhelmed with gadgets, I decided to create an application that

people could download on their Ipad or Iphone. This application will have

different resourcers available for people with anxiety to relax when

travelling by using any mode of transportation.

Persona 1: Stephen

Residence: Munich, Germany

Nationality: German

Age: 27 years old

Career: Writer

Languages: German, English, French

Interactions with others: He is an extremely shy person who prefers computer interaction instead ofdealing with people. He is known as the “Antisocial” of the group.

Technology: He is extremely skilled with computers. He is able to create websites, and manages his own blog.

Reason to use the product: He travels often to visit different publishing companies.

Persona 2: Sean

Residence: San Antonio, Texas

Nationality: American

Age: 36 years old

Career: Training Instructor at Marine Basic Training

Languages: Spanish and English

Interactions with others: Type A, extremely dedicated, outspoken, and assertive.

Technology: He hates computers, but has to use them to keep

his job’s training records

Reason to use the product: He travels often to manage other training sites within the

United States and Europe. He suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to his deployment history.

Persona 3: Inga

Residence: Philadelphia, U.S.A.

Nationality: Swedish

Age: 32 years old

Career: Fashion Designer

Languages: Swedish, English

Interactions with others: Extremely shy and detail oriented.

Technology: She has some computer knowledge. She designs her own digital prints and sketches using a tablet

Reason to use the product: She travels various times a week to advertise her collections even though she dislikes being on a plane. She experiences anxiety and head aches.

UNWINDAfter sketching and brainstorming ideas, names like

Sail Away and UNWIND came to mind . I selected

UNWIND and a delicate paper plane to represent this

application. I felt that the paper plane described best

the notion of freedom and relaxing. I felt that if I

related the application with an existing traveling object

this might cause clients further anxiety issues.
