United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) and
United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)
• The Director-General of UNOV is Mr. Yuri Fedotov (Russian Federation), was
appointed in July 2010,and also serves as the Executive Director of UNODC.
• UNOV manages and implements the United Nations programme on the peaceful
uses of outer space and provides common services, such as conference services,
information services, security and safety services, procurement services and general
support services, for the organizations located at the Vienna International Centre.
• UNOV is closely associated with the UNODC. A shared Division for Management,
in addition to the common services listed above, supports both organizations with
financial resources management services, human resource management services
and information technology and communications.

• UNODC is a global leader in the fight against illicit drugs and international
crime and established in 1997, UNODC operates in all regions of the world
through an extensive network of field offices. UNODC relies on voluntary
contributions, mainly from Governments, for 90 per cent of its budget.
• UNODC has mandate in the following areas:
� Organized crime and trafficking,
� Corruption,
� Crime prevention and criminal justice reform,
� Drug abuse prevention and health,
